If you haven't visited the EA Poe House yet, consider visiting this weekend. The house, part of the Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex, interprets life at the turn of the 20th century. Free guided tours are held hourly from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Over the last two days, Distinctly Fayetteville welcomed the team from Visit North Carolina to our community for an immersion visit. This was a wonderful opportunity to show the team that markets North Carolina the assets of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.

Our group visited various sites and learned about new developments, such as the Crown Event Center. Thanks to our partners for helping make this visit a success!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting of the newest hotel in Cumberland County's tourism portfolio - Everhome Suites Hotel Fayetteville . Located just off I-295, Everhome boasts full kitchens in each suite, a fitness center, a meeting room and an onsite marketplace.

Enjoy the fall air and spend some time exploring Carvers Creek State Park. Located just north of Spring Lake, the park is home to Long Valley Farm, James Stillman Rockefeller's winter estate. The Long Valley Farm Road entrance features several easy walking trails to the estate and the provides great views of the millpond behind the home. Today, we attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Cumberland County's Crown event center. The 3-story facility with a 3,000-seat main event hall, 4,500-square foot multipurpose room and Rooftop Terrace will open in downtown Fayetteville Spring of 2027. We can't wait!

Visit the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation Cape Fear River Trail which is a 10-foot wide paved path for walkers, joggers, bicyclists and others utilizing non-motorized transportation. It winds for over 7 miles, one-way, through a beautiful blend of trees, plants and wildlife with spectacular views of the river.
