Mark your Calendars for the Graveside Chronicles Tour on October 12th!

The guided tour at Bosque Bello Cemetery offers a unique chance to learn about the lives and stories of notable past residents of Fernandina.

During the tour, you will be escorted to 8 different gravesites. Here, Costumed Interpreters will share the intimate tales of these individuals who played a significant role in shaping the community surrounding Amelia Island.

Here are some key details about the event:

*Date and Time: Saturday, October 12, 2024, Tours start at 9:00 AM, the last tour departs at 4 pm.
*Duration: The tour is expected to take approximately 1 ½ hours.
*Tickets: Timed tickets will go on sale September 6th and may be purchased online only at www.ameliamuseum.org
*Accessibility: Due to the Bosque Bello terrain, the tour might not be wheelchair accessible or suitable for those using walkers

Join us on July 19th for an inspiring journey through history with author Jeff Suwak, who recently released his latest book, Hidden History of Amelia Island.

Explore fascinating accounts of Felipa the Witch, renowned for her "love potions" on Ladies Street. Uncover the intriguing lives of old-fashioned outlaws and rebels, as well as famous figures like Princess Amelia and writer and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston.

Don’t miss this engaging and enlightening event to celebrate the odd and wonderful characters that fill the story of our island!

Attendance is free for members and a suggested donation of $5 for nonmembers. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.

📣 New exhibit at Amelia Island Museum of History opens this Friday, June 21st👇

Join the Amelia Island Museum of History at 6 pm on Friday, June 21st for the opening of the museum's newest temporary exhibit— Voices of Amelia: The Musicians and Melodies of a Changing Fernandina!

Visitors to this new exhibit will be able to tune in to our history through an exploration of the local songs and musicians that have shaped our community. Joining us for the opening will be guest speaker Gary McKechnie, a National Geographic author and Florida Humanities presenter, who will guide us through the diverse musical artists and genres that have come out of the Sunshine State.

Attendees will be the first visitors to see and hear this new exhibit, so join us on June 21st!

Attendance is a suggested donation of $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.
