Drive your own 2 man catamaran, while a guide (on his boat) leads you to Fort Clinch, Cumberland Island, Ga and throughout the backwater of Amelia Island seeking wildlife, sea life and a superior boating experience Adventure Awaits you! After a 15 minute brief (on how to drive the boats), we are underway and it’s off to view Historic Fort Clinch on the tip of Amelia Island to hear about the histor
y and take pictures. Then it's off to explore around Cumberland Island to see the wild horses and get a glimpse of other wildlife roaming around. We then pick up speed and view the beauty of the backwaters of Amelia Island. Dolphins, manatees, shore birds and other sea life can be seen along the way. The entire trip will cover 40 to 50 miles of the most beautiful waterways around Amelia. This is an interactive adventure which seeks wildlife, sea life, adventure and beauty. Not your everyday guided tour at all…because you are driving your own boat! Your guide is driving his boat in front of you keeping you safe and pointing out the sights. Must be 18 y/o with a valid driver’s license to drive and 5 y/o and up to be a passenger. Visitors with handicaps must call to see if we can accommodate. A cooler of water is provided for each boat along with all Coast Guard required safety equipment. A small dry storage area is on every boat to store keys, wallets, cell phones and cameras. You may bring snacks, beverages or sandwiches however; no large beach bags or large coolers please. Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are recommended. Beach attire with water shoes, sandals or flip flops is appropriate. Light jacket is optional when the weather is below 75 degrees. Although you shouldn’t get soaked, a towel is recommended due to minor splashing. As a courtesy, and at no extra charge, your guide will take pictures and email them to you after your adventure.
