Five of your East Pierce Firefighters left station 116 early this morning for Southern California and the quickly growing wildfires near Los Angeles.

Captain Lathrop, Lt. Bylin, Lt. Jewitt, Firefighter O’Leary, and Firefighter Mueller will be joining the fight with firefighters from across the west coast and be primarily assigned structural protection on their arrival.

We’ll be thinking of them and hope for a speedy return. Stay safe Gentlemen! 🔥

Deadline Extended!

The City of Milton invites artists to submit proposals to transform a utility box into vibrant public artwork. This project is a wonderful way to beautify our community, celebrate local talent, and make art accessible to all.

We are looking for creative and original designs that reflect the spirit of Milton. The current project focuses on the utility box at Milton Way & 19th Ave.

Important: The application deadline has been extended to Monday, December 2, 2024, at 3 PM.

Did you notice that WSDOT finished its work on I-5 between SR 18 in Federal Way and 54th Avenue East in Fife a week ahead of schedule? This involved installing 15 of the second-longest precast concrete girders in the world and demolishing the decommissioned 70th Ave E bridge, all as part of the SR 167 Completion Project.
