A fair warning: It's January, and we're also just a few weeks away from what we consider to be one of the best festivals in Door County: Winterfest.

(What can we say? When a festival's in Fish Creek, it's automatically the best. We don't make the rules...or do we?!?)

That also means you're going to see a LOT of Winterfest posts over the next few weeks. If you're a fan of bike tossing, ice bowling, and stumpf-fiddling, this should be no problem. 😉

If you've never been to Winterfest, let's change that, shall we? Over the next few weeks, we're going to give you ALL the reasons why you need to attend this quirky, truly one-of-a-kind event. Beginning with: The Glogg.

The Winterfest glogg is a big deal because it's homemade by a group of volunteers that pour their heart and soul into every batch. And, as you can see from this photo taken last year, they don't have any fun. At all.

The pumpkins are ready, the costumes are prepped, and the spooky 👻 vibes are officially ON. Jack O' Lantern Days is here!

Kicking off TONIGHT is the Pumpkin Carving Contest at Bayside Tavern from 7 to 10 pm. Whether you're a master carver or a creative novice, be sure to head there and show us what you've got.

(No pressure, but the best pumpkins will win some killer prizes...just sayin'!)

Tomorrow, join us at the Old Town Hall, where The Deep End will be rocking out from 5 to 7 pm. 🎸 Because what's better than live music on a chilly fall night? Answer: Nothing. Nothing is better.

Get ready, ghouls and goblins! 👻 Jack O' Lantern Days are creeping up on Fish Creek, and it’ll soon be time to channel your inner Master of Halloween.
