Running, walking, driving, boating—there are so many ways to take in all of the beauty that Fish Creek has to offer. But how could we forget one of the best ways: biking! 🚴

Of course, we can't talk about biking without talking about Peninsula State Park. Eagle Bluff Loop, the Sunset Bike Trail, and Hidden Bluff Trail are all great places to begin.

TOMORROW at 4 pm at Noble Square Park: Sit back, relax, and wind down from your day with the smooth sound of Zachary Scot Johnson's soothing voice and exceptional guitar skills. 🎸

A cool fact about Zachary: he has a popular YouTube channel called thesongadayproject, where, you guessed it—he records one song per day. He's up to just over 4,300 songs on his channel, where he makes the magic happen simply by pressing record each morning and uploading his videos without edits. He wants the channel to feel just as if you were attending one of his concerts. Pretty cool, huh?

(Maybe he'll even record his performance tomorrow and the crowd will make an appearance on his channel! 😉)

Genevieve's a local gal, having launched her career in her hometown of Sturgeon Bay before spending the bulk of her young life touring the U.S. and Europe before relocating to Nashville last year. We're thrilled she's back in Door County for an evening, and with us at Fish Fri! This concert is generously sponsored by Hill Street.

Can you have too much of a great thing? When the answer involves the talented Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors, the answer is clearly "no!" That's why the Ambassadors will be joining us again at Concerts in the Park tomorrow from 4-6 pm at Noble Square Park.

Chosen through a competitive audition process at the start of each jazz session, the Jazz Ambassadors are part of Birch Creek Music Performance Center's community outreach initiative. These advanced students will demonstrate their remarkable jazz skills and passion through a rigorous concert schedule, and the experience is invaluable in helping them develop essential skills as traveling musicians.

They've been working hard to perfect their craft, so let's give them a standing ovation tomorrow night. Bring your chairs, blankets, and your love for great music, of course!

Our August Fish Fri concert is ONE WEEK from today! We're thrilled to bring Genevieve Heyward to Fish Creek Beach for the show on Friday, August 9 from 5-7 pm.

Genevieve delivers brutally honest lyrics with a saccharine rasp, effortlessly blending Americana influences into enthusiastic pop music. She’s an accomplished writer and musician—adept at both piano and guitar—and her songs cut through the fray with raw emotion, relatable lyrics, and melodies that linger in the listener’s ear.

As always, bring your favorite beach chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy a beautiful evening with a side of Genevieve's sass and sultriness.

A reminder that parking is plentiful in downtown Fish Creek! There's a free public parking lot located behind the Community Center at 4097 Main Street. There’s even parking for large vehicles like campers and RVs, along with plenty of car spaces.

Want a little history with your dinner? Let us introduce you (if you don't know them already!) to Barringer's Restaurant in Fish Creek.

In 1910, Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Barringer, then owners of the Barringer Hotel, engaged architect Charles Gabert of Chicago to design a retail summer ice cream shop for their daughters, Cora and Meta. The shop was constructed on the north half of the hotel property and named The Maple Tree Cafe, and served vacationers who came to Fish Creek mainly by boat, particularly those travelers of the Goodrich Steamship Line.

Today, The Maple Tree Cafe is Barringer's, a traditional supper club with a modern twice. This Fish Creek favorite serves up perfectly cooked steaks and seafood, best paired with one of their handcrafted specialty cocktail (in our humble opinion 😉).

No matter if you're looking for a grilled-to-order filet with several steak add-ons and sauces, traditional fried chicken with the fixings, a prime truffle burger, or a classic fish fry, Barringer's has it.

(We haven't even gotten to all of the sides, including this decadent mac & cheese.)

Two other reasons to check them out? They have a great lunch menu in addition to dinner, and they're also open in the winter, too!

On Friday, July 12, prepared to be rocked by Dirty Deuce. This band calls themselves "The Musical Mathematicians of Rock-n-Roll," and we've got to say: it's an apt description, because they've been bringing their rough-edged brand of rock music and soulful blues to the stage for decades.

Step into both comfort and style at Fish Creek Moccasin, where tradition meets craftsmanship meets a REALLY great pair of shoes. Right in the center of it all in Founder's Square, their store offers a wide range of handcrafted moccasins and leather goods, perfect for every season.

This tiny cabin has been the place to purchase moccasins for over 30 years, and owner Garrett Doubleday, who purchased the business from Jim & Candy Yonker in 2018, has kept the legacy of mocassin-making going at the Founder's Square shops in Fish Creek. After Garrett graduated from college, he took a job in Door County and found himself wandering into the moccasin shop. He convinced Jim to teach him how to make slippers and shoes, and the rest is history!

Our 2024 Concerts in the Park season has started last week off strong, and the awesomeness continues this week with LLT Organ Trio!

Tomorrow from 4-6 pm in Noble Square Park, LLT Organ Trio, hailing as Door County's premier organ trio, will be serving up all kinds of jazz music. With Solomon Lindenberg on organ, John Lewis on guitar, and Paul Taylor on drums, they'll be bringing the grooves all night long!

Pack up your favorite chair or blanket, because you'll want the best seat in the house for this show! Afterwards, enjoy a delicious dinner at any one of our Fish Creek restaurants.
