Get your last drive in for 2024! 🌄

(Heads Up!) The last day for visitors to drive the Beartooth Highway (US-212) between Red Lodge, Montana, and Yellowstone's Northeast Entrance near Cooke City/Silver Gate, Montana, is Monday, Oct. 14. The highway will be closed for the season Oct. 15.

Automobile travel east of Cooke City, Montana, to the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway is possible until early November, weather dependent.

Stay informed! Check both the Montana and Wyoming departments of transportation websites for road updates and status.

Looking for a quick trip from the cabin? Follow West Rosebud for 25 minutes and you'll find it at West Rosebud Lake and Emerald Lake.

🐻 Be bear aware. There is plenty of black bear activity in the area

It’s time! With the Beartooth Highway open you can make easy work of a day trip to Yellowstone from the cabins

Montana Department of Transportation is hoping for an 11 am opening today (May 30th) of the Beartooth Highway to Vista Point ONLY. The National Park Service has some additional repairs and plowing that need to be done for the highway to open safely in its entirety.
