Joining a Backcountry Journeys Photography Tour is embarking on the trip of lifetime. Really. All of our locations are hand selected by Russ Nordstrand to provide you with unique one of a kind photographic experiences. It’s like no other kind of journey – on our tours you may find yourself waiting for that magical dawn on a cold, dark morning in Yosemite to photograph El Capitan at first light with mist rising from the valley. Or you might be working on capturing translucent rainbows in the sprays of Lone Star Geyser in Yellowstone National Park – it’s up to you!
