Help needed in Western NC -
We saw the Asheville area a day ago - all I can say is that if you can find a trustworthy group to send money or help thru, please do it.
There are people who have lost everything and insurance won't help them as 98% didn't have flood insurance. There are people in homes up in the mountains there that won't have power until December or January!!
They don't have hope. They need generators and heaters and medicine.
I suggest going thru Hickory Bible Tabernacle. They have been at it since day 1 and all donations are being sent directly to the individuals who are hurting. The website is www.hickorybibletabernacle.org - Click the link for Hurricane Helene Relief button. I know these people and they are faithful in their mission to help those in the area that need the help.
Thanks for considering sending help. I have seen my donation being used the right way - God bless - Glenn

I had a great opportunity to go to a small lake at about 7700' elevation to photograph osprey and eagles! It was an amazing day - windy which kept the number of birds down, but rewarding none the less.

Osprey are also called "fish eagles". I've been listening to some worship music and they were singing about the wings of eagles on several songs! What a blessing.

God's creation never ceases to amaze me! God bless - Glenn

EXCELLENT MOVIE!!

It premiered Thursday in limited locations as it's an independent film. GO SEE IT!! It may not be near you long, but I've seen it tonight and it is VERY ACCURATE about the way politics work and how it affects everything we deal with. It's very timely - 5 STARS Rating with ME!

A charismatic figure joins forces with a savvy strategist to launch a political campaign championing “religious freedom” and unity, sparking nationwide controversy.

Sometimes you see something that brings back a memory.

Today during a yard sale we did, there were old prints of photos that had been in competitions. It almost hurt to sell them for one or two or three dollars - but things can't be stored forever I guess.

I saw this phot which I had processed in a way that I haven't done for years.

It's intentionally soft in certain areas, we used to do it by combining two images in film to make a dreamy print. They weren't supposed to line up perfectly.

There's one thing that should line up perfectly, and that is our walk before the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God (Bible).

God's Spirit in us will bring a clarity to our lives to know that we can stand in faith knowing He if faithful to His Word and He does not lie or change His mind. Satan is the father of all lies so he distorts what God has said - we are to resist him and he (Satan) will flee the Word says!

This Dreamagon photo is attached - your thoughts, comments, prayers and page likes are appreciated. God bless you - Glenn

Thank you to everyone of you who thought of me today. Today is the day when I was BORN AGAIN by the Spirit of the Lord, now 42 years ago! It's as important of a day as anyone can have. I hope everyone has experienced the same blessing of the Holy Ghost coming into you, filling you and expressing Himself thru you. It truly brings "Blessed assurance" - God bless you all.

DELTA has been my airline of choice for about 30 years.

I consider my wife to be a lady and myself to be a gentleman. If Delta doesn't RESPECT MY TERMINOLOGY anymore, then maybe they need to take their NEW policies to the bank and cash them in since I may not be spending money with them any more.

Old dwellings like the Bud Ogle Place in the Smokies reminds us of a quieter time where life wasn't so hectic or perverted.

Families read their Bibles at dinner and people had respect for God and for each other more than society does today.

What's missing is what's written here but especially vs. 5-7. What we see now in life is like when Israel was under the rule of Pharaoh - where the people ate and drank and rose up to play - and they had no time for God - May He have mercy on us all!

Psalm 78:1-7
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

Olympic organizers should be fired - OH YEAH, they will when they stand before the Lord - the Lake of Fire will be where they are FIRED! Romans 1:18-32 "They which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them"

Paris 2024 organizers defended the opening ceremony of the Olympics amid outrage over the depiction of The Last Supper during one segment.

Summer Safety: Avoid Hiking During Excessive Heat Warnings

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. –The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for parts of Grand Canyon National Park. The warning is in effect from 8 a.m. Thursday, June 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7 for areas below 4,000 feet in the canyon including Phantom Ranch and Havasupai Gardens. Forecast temperatures in the shade range between 105 F/41 C and 111 F/44 C. Hotter than normal temperatures will also hit the rims, with highs of 92 F/33 C on the South Rim and 85 F/30 C on the North Rim.

The National Park Service recommends not hiking below the rim during the excessive heat warning. Hiking in extreme heat can lead to serious health risks including heat exhaustion, heat stroke, hyponatremia, and death. Be aware that efforts to assist hikers may be delayed during the summer months due to limited staff, the number of rescue calls, employee safety requirements, and limited helicopter flying capability during periods of extreme heat or inclement weather.

All visitors to Grand Canyon should ensure they are drinking plenty of fluids, resting in shade during the heat of the day, and dressing appropriately for the weather, which includes loose-fitting cotton clothing. Hikers should closely watch for signs of distress in traveling companions, in particular, fainting, confusion, or altered mentation as these may be early warning signs of heat stroke.

Anyone who still plans to hike into the canyon should take extra precautions to hike smart. Hikers should plan to hike before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. and rest in the shade to avoid the worst heat of the day. The National Park Service advises that anyone hiking in heat should balance food and water intake, drink when thirsty, and get wet to stay cool. Additional information about hiking smart in the heat is available at https://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/hike-smart.htm.

For up-to-date weather forecasts please check the National Weather Service website: http://www.weather.gov/fgz/
