Day 6 in California
📍San Francisco
We stayed at the Riu plaza Fisherman’s Wharf and it was beautiful! I would absolutely stay there again.
We went to pier 39 and seen the seals 🦭 and shopped around a little.
We had a good view of Alcatraz (although we didn’t have time to go for a tour)
Then we went and seen the Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 what a beautiful view!
And of course we had to go see the houses that are in Full house! 🏡
We drove up to the twin peaks for a panoramic view of the city 🏙️
Then we finished out our day at the Ghirardelli factory 🍫 before we flew home ✈️

What a great trip, we seen and did so much! So thankful to be able to see the world 🌏

Day 5 in California ☀️
A late post because we had a late night and lots more driving yesterday 😴
We headed out from San Francisco to Yosemite🥾
We drove straight to the sequoias, and they are absolutely amazing. Of course the pictures don’t do them justice. 🌳
We did a 6 mile hike to see them!
We left the sequoias and started to drive thru the park and stumbled across the most amazing views 😮‍💨
We seen a little bit of wildlife (including a bear for a second on our drive!) and we caught some of a sunset 🌅
Then we drove back to San Francisco and had dinner at Tony’s! 🍕
Today, we explore San Francisco and then fly home ✈️

Day 4 in California ☀️
Today was a long one 😮‍💨
We started with a sunrise in San Diego 🌅
Then we headed to the Hollywood sign with a beautiful view of L.A. 🏙️
We left there and drove to the Santa Monica Pier 🌊
From there, we went to Malibu and drove the coast (which is beautiful, do it if you ever get the chance). We even went and seen the Hannah Montana house 🤩 and the backdrop for 2 and a half men!
We ended the day here in San Francisco 🌁
We were on the road for about 15 hours today, with stops all along the way. It’s a long drive but a fun one!
Tomorrow we are heading to Yosemite for the day to do some hiking!! 🥾

Day 3 in California ☀️
We met up with hunter for coffee this morning. We grew up together and she lives out here now!
Then we headed to Long Beach and hopped on a ferry to Catalina Island.
Catalina island feels a little bit like Italy! 🇮🇹
We explored the island a little bit and then went on a semi-submarine ride and seen lots of fish! 🐟
We caught a little bit of the sunset on the island too 🌅
Then, on the way back to San Diego we stopped in Laguna beach for dinner. The cutest town that I wish we had more time to explore!
I love traveling different places during this time of year and getting to see all the Christmas lights/decorations! 🎅🏼
We’re taking a road trip tomorrow, so let’s see what we find 🤪🚙

Happy thanksgiving 🦃
We had a full day to explore San Diego today!
We found a bar to watch the lions game at (Go lions 🦁 💙)
We did a boat tour of the north and south San Diego bay, lots of navy ships!
We made it to sunset cliffs only to find fog 😢 but we stuck it out and the fog cleared for a beautiful sunset 🌅
Then we headed to Kansas City Barbeque for dinner, where the bar scene from top gun was filmed!
Not our typical thanksgiving but we had a great day🫶🏼☀️

Our first day in California was a success!
✈️Flew into San Diego
📍First stop was our first trip to In-N-Out 😂
We checked into our hotel that is beautiful!!
📍Headed to La Jolla Cove and seen the sea lions/seals up close and personal. What an experience 🤪
We got gelato and are ending our night by the fire on the beach 🌊
The fog really showed up for us today so the views weren’t great but we can’t wait for the next few days!

Day 11 Rome Italy 🥹
What. A. Dream 🫶🏼
We seen so much today, and I feel like we still missed so much.
We seen the pantheon, the Trevi fountain (it’s closed/under construction 🥲), the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum 🥹, the Vatican City, St.Peters bascilica, the church of Santa Maria, Castel Sant Angelo, the Temple of Hadrian and so much more.
The Colosseum was absolutely amazing😭
And of course we ate 😂 pizza, pasta, gelato, suppli (fried rice balls), and more croissants 😋
This was the trip of a lifetime and I’m so thankful we got to experience this!

Day 10 Villefrenche and Monaco France 🇫🇷
We didn’t have any excursion booked today so we just explored on our own. We took the train to Monaco and seen the Monte-Carlo casino. We didn’t get to go in and gamble because you had to pay to even get in😂 All of the stores here are designer brands, we learned this is where the rich people come 😂😂 so we headed back to the village and got some gelato and then headed back to the ship to snooze in the sun ☀️
We have been so lucky on this trip with the weather, it has been gorgeous everyday!
Tomorrow, we take on Rome 🇮🇹✌🏼

Day 9 Livorno Italy 🇮🇹 (Pisa and Florence)
I loved it here!
We went to the leaving tower of Pisa, which is beautiful. We did not take the picture of us holding it up because I just couldn’t😂 those people all look so silly 😂
Then we headed to Florence where we just explored for a few hours. We seen the statue of David (not the real one though🥲) beautiful churches, and so much more. We had a panini, gelato (10/10), more croissants, and of course some Italian candy.
We got to see the church that Michelangelo and Galileo are buried in, Santa Croce.
We also got to drive through Tuscany on the way to Florence and it was gorgeous.
We did not get enough time here and I would LOVE to come back🫶🏼

Day 8 Naples, Italy 🇮🇹
(I feel like I can’t say Naples because we didn’t get to explore Naples, we visited the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Pompeii)
We got off the ship this morning to a beautiful sunrise over Mount Vesuvius 🌋 then we drove to the coast and got to overlook the Amalfi coast and the Sorrento coast. After that we headed back to Sorrento and got to spend some time exploring town, shopping and of course eating 🤤
Then we headed to Pompeii and got to do a tour, 2 hours was not nearly enough to explore this but it was amazing! Our tour guide did inform us that people back then were small, and were not big like me. I am a giant compared to them she said😂😂
I also brought Michigan to Italy with us because, Go Blue 〽️ (obviously)
I would most definitely come back here!

Day 7 Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹
I made it to Italy!!! For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to go to Italy 🥹 my great great grandparents came from Sicily so this one’s a little extra special 🥹
We went to Mount Etna, a volcano 🌋 that’s still active! We seen the crater at the top and got to be above the clouds. It was absolutely beautiful. I also got my first cannoli in Italy and it did NOT dissapoint 🤤 after Mt. Etna we went to a jewelry factory and seen how some of the jewelry is made. We didn’t buy anything because lets me honest, that’s not in the budget 😂 but the building was beautiful! When we got back, we walked around Messina a little and got some pizza 🤤🤤

Day 5 Santorini Greece 🇬🇷
We made it to the blue domes 🥹 Santorini is absolutely beautiful! I am SO thankful that we get to experience all of this, and while we worked our asses of for this, I know we are so lucky 🫶🏼
If you are going to Santorini, get your walking shoes ready 🤪👟 lots and lots of stairs.
I will say, this stop wasn’t quite what I expected it to be. Social media made me think (or maybe I just have no idea) that there were blue domes everywhere, there’s maybe 5 of them 😂 they are really beautiful but there’s not many of them 🤷🏼‍♀️
The cruise tender will take you into Fira and you have to find transportation to Oia. We took the public bus and I thought it was a little difficult to find the bus station, but we made it.
After we made it over to Oia, we stopped for a hazelnut butter croissant 🤤🤤 and some coffee ☕️ while we overlooked the blue domes, and the volcano 🌋
Then we walked around getting all the pictures and doing a little bit of shopping!
We headed back to Fira and had gyros for lunch and walked around a bit more before heading back to the ship.
To actually get to Fira from the cruise port you either have to take the cable car or the steps. Take the cable car up 100% 😂 we took the steps down (600 steps 🫠) and I wouldn’t recommend 😂😂😂
There were so many people here as we were 1 of 5 ships in port today, I cannot imagine what this is like in peak season. We were told it was very mild compared to peak season 🤯
Overall, this stop was beautiful and I would come back!! 🧿🇬🇷

Day 4 Kusadasi, Turkey 🇹🇷
Today we did a tour of Ephesus, an ancient city in Turkey. If you are in to history, this one is for you! They are still digging up the city so new parts are being discovered everyday. The mosaic tile artwork is insane.
There are also stray dogs and cats EVERYWHERE 🐶
After we finished that we went to a Turkish rug demonstration, and seen how they make silk to use for the rugs (where they of course try to sell them to you after😂)
We headed back to the ship after that but stopped for some more baklava on the way 😋
And the sunset really showed up for us tonight 🌅

Day 3 in Istanbul Turkey 🇹🇷
I’m not going to lie, this one surprised me. We had no idea what to expect, but it was AMAZING. We both gave it 10/10.
I will say, we were going to try to explore on our own and last minute last night we decided to book an excursion tour. Thank god we did that because there is SO many people here we would have never made it around. 🫠
On our tour we got to see Haiga Sophia which is a mosque, the basilica cistern, and we went to the grand bazaar.
If you are coming on a cruise to turkey, make sure to bring a scarf (if you are a woman) to cover your head in the mosques and temples.
If you ever go to the grand bazaar, our tour guide told us, they mark everything up so be ready to bargain. (Thank god Zach is good at that 🤪)
The architecture is absolutely amazing and everything was so beautiful!

Day ✌🏼 in Mykonos

If you are sailing here on a cruise ship try to be some of the first people off the ship. We got up early and jumped on an early bird tender and the streets were empty, it was beautiful!! And get your walking shoes out👟
We walked the streets, tried the foods, seen the windmills. The weather is beautiful too! 🇬🇷🧿

Yesterday we kicked off our European cruise 🥳
We flew into Athens and then I book a tour with welcome pickups. They picked us up from the airport, drove us around Athens and then dropped us off at the cruise port!
We got to see the Olympic Stadium, parliament building with a ceremony for the changing of the guards, the Parthenon (from far away) and seen several other historic sites!
