Fi****ms safety is key anytime you handle a firearm and thats exactly what I offer to shooters of all experience levels. I offer NRA certified courses that will teach you proper ways to handle a firearm, different types of fi****ms, different types of ammunition, proper safety measures while both storing and using a firearm, etc. Both courses I currently offer can be used to apply for your LTC and

FID. Home Firearm Safety is a (approx) 4 hour classroom based safety course that covers all kinds of fi****ms. In this course you will do things like practice loading and unloading real revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and shotguns with non-firing practice ammo, identify different types of fi****ms and their ammunition, learn how to safely handle and store guns and ammunition, learn how to clean different types of fi****ms, find out how to apply for an LTC or FID in your city or town, etc. No range time is needed for this course so no live fire will be conducted. This course is best suited for people with previous fi****ms experience or people who would simply like to know how to handle a firearm in a safe manner should there ever be a need for it. Cost for this course is $65 and includes a take home student packet. Basic Pistol is a (approx) 8 hour course that covers ONLY pistols. In this course you will do things like shoot real revolvers and semi-automatic pistols at an actual live fire range, practice safe firearm handling, understand proper storage of guns and ammunition, practice proper Grip, Stance, Aim, and Marksmanship, learn how to take apart, clean, maintain, and reassemble your pistol, find out how to apply for an LTC or FID in your city or town, etc. Range time is required for this course and live fire is included in the cost. This course is best suited for anyone that would like experience with a pistol before going out and buying a pistol or getting their LTC. I suggest this course to those who have little to no experience with a firearm but plan to get your FID or LTC. Cost of this course is $130 and includes range time and a take home student packet. - A fun learning enviornment that is relaxed but safe

- Students being interactive with the lesson plan and each other

- Willingness to learn

- Students encouraging each other and helping when they see someone struggle with the content of the lesson plan

Things I won't tolerate...

- Horseplay

- Disregard for anyones safety

- Repeated unsafe handling of fi****ms

- Disrespectful, degrading, discouraging, or purposly unmotivational remarks being made to anyone

- Failure to obey safety rules set fourth by myself

- NO LIVE ROUNDS WILL ENTER THE CLASSROOM!!! This is for everyone's safety

Both courses are open to shooters of all experience levels and both women and children are encouraged to participate. First time shooters are welcome as well, its never too late to start and get involved with your Second Amendment right. My motto is "Stay Alert, Stay Alive" and it not only applies to fi****ms safety but everyday situations as well. Always remember to treat every firearm as if its loaded and to keep it pointed in a safe direction at all times. Always keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot and identify your target and whats behind your target before you fire. Quite often we questions about basic hunter safety courses. those courses are run by the state.

There are very few classes in the Hampshire county area every year. But there is another option!
According to mass.gov you can qualify for a Hunting license by taking any other states safety course. We have found that Texas has online courses that only take a few hours and about $40.

We have all heard stories of a stranger knocking on someone's door asking for help or to use a phone and then trying to attack or rob the person! Here is an inexpensive idea to help protect your home and family from these types of invasions.

We borrowed this idea from a friend and thought it was worth sharing.

Mount a command strip hook near your entry doors, windows or anywhere easily accessible hang a lanyard flashlight and a pepper spray canister on the hook. Easily accessible protection can be mounted at any height to keep out of children's reach.

•Command strip hooks are about $10 per 16 pack.
•Pocket size pepper sprays $10-$15 available at your local gun shop and can be purchased by anyone 18+ years old
• flashlights could be one of the many you have laying around the house or a new one, make sure its reliable and you have spare batteries.

For under $100 you can add this set up to multiple entry points in your home and be better prepared for the crazy world outside your front door.

I see the memes and other posts going around about Alec Baldwin and I must say that there is never a time or place to ridicule anyone for the negligent use of a firearm that results in injury and death.
In this industry, we can find irony in many things, but let us all uphold ourselves with professionalism and not stoop down to the level of those who come against us daily as we defend the 2A.
For I do not know what you are feeling, but I offer my condolences to the family of the woman who’s life you took.
In this industry we stress fi****ms safety a lot, specifically the need to treat all fi****ms as if they were loaded at all times.
Not liking fi****ms or not supporting the 2A is not a reason to not learn how to use them or not know the basic rules. You may not want to hear this, but I hope you can come to understand and take ownership for your part in this tragic and senseless incident. It could have been avoided 100%
I hope you can come to understand that the vital skills necessary to identify a real gun from a prop gun, from understanding the condition of your chamber, and knowing all the safety rules as they relate to fi****ms is a vital and necessary skill for everyone in society. This is the only way to avoid negligence like this.
I pray you find a way to cope with this situation and that it begins a positive change in you. I pray you learn to take responsibility for your actions and not blame the tool, but instead understand that it is the person that aimed the tool at a friend/co-worker and consciously pressed the trigger that is responsible.
My sympathy and condolences go out to you.
