Looking for your next coastal adventure? 👀

Join a ranger and take a deep dive into the natural and cultural history of the 10,000 Islands region of Everglades National Park at Gulf Coast. Experience this region’s abundance of wildlife and mangrove forests during a paddle up the Turner River to see a complex of 1,500-year-old Calusa-era shell mounds.

What: Turner River Discovery

When: 10:00 am every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through April 2025.

Program Length: ~3 miles roundtrip over the course of 3 hours.

Difficulty: Moderate. Participants must be age 16+, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Equipment Needed: Participants will need to supply their own paddle equipment or rent equipment locally.

Advanced registration required. Call 786-758-0635 for details and registration.
