Captain Doug has been very busy working full time at the fire department and fishing whenever he can. Today he caught over a dozen slot sized reds (15”-23”) and these three big ones that were all over 30”! No charter today, just some fishing for ourselves. I started out the day with a 18” baby shark caught on a popping cork and Doug ended the day with this flounder. A hot day of fishing is better than a cool day at work!

This was something we had never seen before. These are mullet, we often use finger mullet as bait but these guys were huge! One fish lasted us all day as bait, and the red drum loved them.

We had the best day of fishing today! Almost all of our red drum were between 21”-23”, then we caught a bunch of shrimp and took some of the smaller shrimp to catch more fish! Now is the best time of year to fish, give Doug a call and come join the fun!
