Administrative offices for the Town of Forest City will close at 11:00am today due to the incoming winter weather. This includes utility collections, Mooneyham Library, and parks and recreation administrative staff.

We encourage the public to stay inside and limit travel, if at all possible, during this weather event. If you experience a power outage and are a Town of Forest City electric customer, please call (828) 245-0149 to report the outage. The Town will work as quickly as possible to restore outages. As always, in case of an emergency please call 911.

The weather is perfect as we step off to the annual Town of Forest City Christmas parade in just a few hours! The parade begins at 3pm and travels East on East Main Street from Cool Springs Admin Building to the Methodist Church. For the safety of all, there is no parking on East Main Street. (Video is from the 2023 parade.)

The Grinch has arrived in Town of Forest City! He hitched a ride with the fine folks at Carolina Carriage Company and has taken over the Santa House! He’s going to be there until 9PM tonight. Stop by for a photo!

The music just got started and we are here at Forest City Pavilion On Park Square - POPS with the award winning band, too MUCH SyLviA! Music continues until 9! Concessions are also available! Put on your dancing shoes and come party with us!

We are having so much fun at the Amazing Race and Movemnet Fest! Which team will be the winner?

Rain, rain, go away, we want to hear The Symphony of Rutherford County play! The concert begins at 7pm! Bring a chair and come enjoy live music at Forest City Pavilion On Park Square - POPS!

Wow! We had three proposals last night during carriage rides! Congratulations to the newly engaged couples! We appreciate you choosing Town of Forest City for this wonderful event! And a big shout out to Carolina Carriage Company and their staff for helping make it a special night for these folks!
