The 'Stairway to Heaven', formally known as the Haiku Stairs in Hawaii, is a trail that ascends Ko'olau Mountain on Oahu, consisting of approximately 3,922 steps. Constructed by the US Navy in 1942 to access a secret radio station during World War II, this structure offers panoramic views. Although closed to the public due to safety and maintenance concerns, the staircase remains a legendary and contentious attraction.
