This one is from my sister-in-law Linda: Have a generic checklist you keep handy in a suitcase or carry-on to make packing easier, and update it every time you find new things that are important to remember to include, such as your National Parks pass. TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY: For peace of mind when traveling internationally, make a copy of your passport, add that country's US embassy phone number to your contacts list, and register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), a free service that allows the Department of State to quickly contact you in case of an emergency.

To find a trail near you, or to plan a future hike in another state or country, visit https://www.alltrails.com/ It's a great resource for trail guides and maps for hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors.

WANDERLUST WEDNESDAY: Salt Lake City, UT. Just returned from the American Society of Travel Advisors conference there. So clean! So easy to get around! So cool! Their airport is very streamlined with a convenient train that takes you right into the city. And some amazing national parks are not that far away.

TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY: Reserve parking in advance of driving to the airport, so you don't waste time trying to find an available spot. Consider using services such as The Parking Spot or ParkMobile to find area hotels and lots near your airport that charge less.
