I am very excited for clients checking into some of my fave hotels across the Scotland and Ireland next week.

The Balmoral will be the perfect spot for them to explore Edinburgh while being VIP’ed thanks to Sol’s partnerships.

Glenlo Abbey sits on some the most beautiful grounds in Galway, Ireland. The team there always takes wonderful care of our travelers.

And rounding out their time in Ireland, with another VIP experience at the Westbury Dublin will be a 🤌🏻 to their summer adventure.

The UK and Ireland requests have blown me away this year and am already working away on 2025 itineraries. Who wants to join the trend? Send me an email or DM and we can set up a complimentary consultation.

Where will you find me next?

I am embarking on a new adventure in a few weeks to explore and experience another “hot,” destination.

It will be a mix of the outdoors & physical activity, incredible scenery for me to capture 📸, and of course luxury accommodations. On paper this sounds like a perfect match for my personal style of life and travel.

Most importantly I am excited to gather all the insight and knowledge that can only come from immersing oneself in a destination. With several SOL trippers already booked here in 2024, I can’t wait to elevate their vacations with all I learn.

Okay- hit the comments up with your best guess- where will you find me this June??

Weekend Getaways • CHICAGO Edition

I am back from a few days in the Windy City and reminded of how short, regular getaways can refresh even the weariest of winter souls.

Chicago is an all-around wonderful destination for such a jaunt. Direct flights from all over the U.S., five-star hotels, walkability, shopping, incredible food, and nightlife galore.

If you are in need of a last-minute weekend away, you can reach me via all the links in my bio.

Visiting Europe in Winter ❄️

I have travelers in Paris, Florence and Rome this month so on the topic of low-season itineraries, here are a few things to consider when looking at to schedule your next vacation:

• Lower airfare $$, On average the most affordable time to travel to Europe is January-February. That said, if it’s a summer trip you are dreaming of, now is the time to book those flights. We will watch fares rise from here.

•Avoid the crowds. The past couple of years popular cities have seen a massive influx of high-season visitors. Booking a trip in low-season will is a great option for those wishing to visit major sites without throngs of tourists doing the same.

•Experience a destination more like a local. Low-season travel instinctively fosters a slower paced vacation. Sip a cappuccino (before noon) while taking in the morning from an Italian cafe. Wander the neighborhoods in Paris, or enjoy a leisurely guided walking tour sans the noise and frenetic pace that can accompany high-season travel.

I will always love a warm-weather itinerary, but there is something romantic and authentic about traveling in winter. Off-season in Europe may not be on your radar, but if your interest has been sparked, I’d love to talk more with you about the pros and cons of any time of the year. Find me all the places via my bio link.

It is year-end audit time, and I oddly love it! All the stats, the insights, and also remembering all the fun it was to work on each one of your 2023 trips.

If you make it to the final slide you will see why I continue to be so grateful for you all. This has been my biggest year yet in the industry, and I have so many goals for 2024.

Already we have several European adventures on the books as well as some well-earned family fun in the Caribbean. I even have a large multi-gen group booked for January 2025- so it’s rarely too early to start planning.

I heard from three families this week looking for help planning trips marking their child’s graduation. Having just been in their shoes myself a year ago I feel akin to their season of letting go, while capturing as many memories as possible.

Time refuses to slow, and making space to spend what we have investing in experiences and people over things eases the ache of the changing seasons.

From graduations, to babymoons, milestone birthdays, or job changes- I would love to talk with you about how I can help you celebrate.

It is noisy out here on the internet- especially this weekend. As a small biz owner and solopreneur, but also an introvert who appreciates her quiet, it’s always a tricky balance for me. I never want to add to noise, and yet you all are the reason my little travel design business continues to grow.

Thank you sincerely for all the ways you support me. 👉🏻through these slides for suggestions on how to shop small and support big with me this season. Including 20% off my travel design gift cards now through 11/30.

I have been sitting on a plane for about seven hours now, and have yet to find words accurately describing the depth of gratitude I feel. The women in this photo, along with several other behind the scenes contributors, have helped me experience so much more than simply a destination to share with my clients. And along the way their kindness, generosity and camaraderie made it possible for me to rediscover a joy I have been missing for a season.

Travel is wild. It can be exhausting, and maddening (still looking at you ), but it is such a conduit to the human experience. I am honored to work with so many of you as you venture out on your own “connection quests,” around this glorious, diverse, sometimes devastating, and always surprising planet.

‘Thank you,’ doesn’t begin to cover it, but thank you .bytique (and my family for standing in the gap of my absence ☺️).

Greece has been an absolute dream. Yamas!

All in favor of permanent 4-day work weeks? 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

Happy Friday! A little fun personal trivia for the end of this short week:

1. If you want to see an instant dance party courtesy of moi- just turn on Khalid. His Free Spirit album has been my go-to travel listen for years now.

2. I am left-handed. But throw a ball with my right hand. It’s one of my very few talents. 🙃

3. I just moved my oldest child off to college. I miss her every minute, but am learning to embrace this new stage of parenting. I also have a 15-yr-old (as of today! 🧑🏼‍🦱🎉) and a 12-yr-old 👩🏾‍🦱.

4. I first visited Italy as a senior in college with the art & photography students, even though I was a communications major. 25 years later I am actually using all those experiences and skills in my current career as a travel pro.

5. I enjoy writing but have set it aside the past few years. Recently I am getting back into it more- is one space I just started sharing more personal stories from my every day. If you are on the app I’d love to connect. I’m

Your turn- if we had 4-day work weeks would you want Mondays or Fridays off? Lmk in comments!

September 2nd is World Coconut Day, which seems particularly noteworthy given the news of Jimmy Buffet’s passing. Thank you Jimmy for reminding us to not take life too seriously, and to enjoy the ride.

Created in 2009 by the Asia Pacific Coconut Community as a way to recognize and promote coconut growers, the day also helps raise awareness of this delightful fruit.

From French toast & coffee to pińa coladas, coconut is one of my favorite flavors. I also feel like coconuts are one of those foods people either love or hate. What category do you fall into?

🌎 Today is World Environment Day, so in honor I thought I’d share some practical tips on how to be responsible travelers. 🌎

Sustainable travel may just seem like a current buzz phrase, but there are so many simple ways each of us can make a positive impact on this beautiful, fragile world we inhabit.

I love visiting some of the newer resorts and hotels and seeing all of the eco-friendly advances they are making in the world of tourism and hospitality. I hope you find this post helpful and would love to know if more sustainable vacationing is something you consider when thinking about travel.

05/03/2023

In the spring of 2018 my husband and I took a long-needed vacation together. It had been a challenging few years- as is the case for most parents, marrieds, or really just humans. It’s brutal out there, amiright?

It was one of those trips where we did absolutely nothing. We slept, laid on the beach, read books, ate all the things and fully rested. We also finally had uninterrupted time for some serious conversations- about our family, career, future, our relationship, etc.

Since that time we have had the opportunity to go on several other amazing getaways- but I always come back to this particular week as one of my favorite vacations. And I think it must be that it was exactly the trip we needed for that particular season of our lives.

Now, as I work with others in crafting their own vacation experiences, I am driven to capture for them something similar. Having the privilege to step away from the pace of daily life and all of its obligations, is something I wish for all of us. It’s important time to pour back into yourself and your most essential relationships. As a travel advisor I am serious about matching you with the very best vacation experience for what you need. Whether that is a trip like the one I took, or something full of adventure and new experiences, I will help you navigate the decision process. Let’s talk soon- you can reach me at [email protected] or via the link in my bio.

From the timing of travel, to choosing the best coastal village for your style, I would love to help design your Italian vacation. You can find my details in my bio or leave a 🍝 in the comments and I’ll DM you my planning link.
