More Skyline towers planned for downtown Fort Lauderdale!
The latest plan calls for a 37-story condo tower with 200 units; a 30-story apartment tower with 360 units; and a 30-story hotel with 119 rooms. The 4-acre project includes a restaurant, cafe and a 90-slip marina with yacht valet.
Fort Lauderdale’s Planning and Zoning Board is expected to vote on the plan in mid-August. The project will also require a commission vote.

Here are the MAY '24 Broward County numbers...
As moving season continues in South Florida, Broward County closed the month with 1,249 sales, consistent with last year’s reported numbers at this time. The county is experiencing increased inventory with 4,359 active listings and 1,750 pending sales last month.
Broward County’s months supply of inventory is currently sitting at 4.3 months – a 7.5% increase from last month. The county’s median sale price reported $625,000 with total dollar volume increasing 10% from last year at $1.1 billion!

Fireworks and our dog Lucy…not usually a great mix! Here are some tips that help Lucy…Exercise is probably the best one. Several long frisbee workouts the day of the fireworks help make her tired during her stressful evening. Then later, leaving the TV or music on while having access to her safe place.
In addition, while you are out enjoying the sky light up, this is a great time to talk with friends and neighbors about your home needs. Be sure to ask about home insurance policies, property tax concerns and their latest handyman. Word of mouth is still better than online reviews and social media. Trust me!

132 townhomes planned for this Broward golf course in Margate
The Margate Executive Golf Course is no more! The Broward County Planning Council unanimously approved the developer’s request although some voting members said they weren’t agreeing enthusiastically. Many of local residents pleaded with the Planning Council to turn it away upset that Margate is already overdeveloped and it needs it's green space.
The development will be called “Nove of Margate". The homes will be three-bedroom townhomes with a clubhouse, swimming pool, and pickle ball courts.

MARCH 2024 INVENTORY RISES IN BROWARD COUNTY AS MOVING SEASON APPROACHES!
Active listings in Broward County continue to grow, currently at 4,007 listings – a 34.1% increase from this time last year. And Wow, The condo inventory has really increased from this time last year. Active Condo listings have almost doubled from 4,300 in March last year to 8,400 listings this year.

The Fort pickleball stadium on the rise in Fort Lauderdale!
The Fort, a 43-court pickleball complex on the rise in Fort Lauderdale’s Snyder Park, is expected to open by the end of the year. The ambitious project, touted as the world’s first pickleball stadium, calls for a lakeside restaurant, 14 weatherproof courts, luxury suites, golf simulators, a dart room, volleyball, a game yard with live music and a 4,000-square-foot event center. Wow!

But the 8-acre complex going up on public land is not without controversy. Locals are very upset about losing green space and the many trees lost.

New Home Sales Up at Start of 2024!
The pace of new home sales in January is up 1.8% from a year earlier. Sales of new single-family homes in January increased 1.5% to a 661,000 seasonally adjusted annual rate from a downwardly revised reading in December, according to data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau.
