Jason Calvert is the owner and Executive Chef of Culinary Magic. With 20+ years of culinary experience under his belt, you are guaranteed to be treated to an unparalleled sampling of flavors. Calvert has fine-tuned his skills under James Beard Award winners Emeril Lagasse and Mark Militello. He currently under retainer until 2018 and holds the position of Special Dietary Chef at a high volume, exclusive 5-Star summer camp in N.E. Pennsylvania ; creating whimsical dishes under his culinary philosophy. He’s a firm believer in farm-to-table dining, passionately stating that food should be “Done right, or don’t even bother”. Chef Calvert’s cuisine combines his rockabilly sensibilities and love up pinup culture with classical French training; as well Italian, Japanese, and Mexican influences. His versatility allows him the ability to seamlessly flow from comfort food to fine dining. Culinary Magic showcases Calvert’s creativity with sweet treats, such as his "SB" cupcakes: Cuban Coffee cupcakes, half frosted with guava-cream cheese frosting and dark chocolate and white chocolate "pasties". "Sweet,Hot and Spicy just like Holly" chocolate "mole" cupcakes with semi-sweet chocolate ganache frosting done "mohawk" style. (Featuring chocolate kisses).
