The Travelmation Retreat wrapped up with an incredible Closing Event and a Blanc Party, hosted by Disney Destinations.
🎬 The Hollywood event featured music from movies through the decades (like the themes from Top Gun and Footloose).
✨️Five other travel advisors and I were honored for 10 years of service. It's hard to believe that it has been a decade of helping clients make dreams into realities.
🤍 Disney threw the most beautiful party, with a delicious meal, gorgeous white decorations and flowers, and 9 characters, all themed around the white color theme.

We hopped from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom, just in time to grab a mediocre spot for Happily Ever After fireworks. The show usually makes me cry, but, without my kids here, I was ugly crying. Such a beautiful show. Luckily, the park is open for 90 more minutes, so we'll cram in as much as possible...and hopefully grab a bite of supper.

Today was work, and then play. The day was packed with training sessions. Even lunchtime was "lunch and learn," learning about Universal and HX Expeditions while we ate. Next up is a few hours of seeing what's new in the Walt Disney World parks.

Our Conference officially kicked off last night with a "blue carpet" event. We gathered in Disney's Contemporary Resort, dressed in our best, and ready to be encouraged and celebrate the year's accomplishments. Afterwards, Carnival Cruise Line hosted an after-party. What a night!

Today was about exploring Universal Orlando! 🌎 We covered a lot of ground, walking about 12 miles and squeezing as much as we could of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Park into one day. I got to explore the new DreamWorks Land and Minion Land, which are both great additions to the park. We visited some of my favorite attractions and restaurants, too! Lots more photos to unpack and share in the near future...to be continued.

Last night, we stayed at Stella Nova, a brand-new Universal resort that opened just 3 days prior. It is sleek and beautiful and overlooks the soon-to-open Epic Universe Park. We got a peek at Bowser's Castle, the Isle of Berk, and more.

I'll be joining a large group of Travelmation agents at our conference, where I'll personally meet with 79 travel vendors and will learn more about what they have to offer my clients. On the Lowman/Massey trip, we needed a room that would hold 5 guests ✔, in a convenient location within that resort ✔️, on the ground floor to make it easier on knees and with a stroller ✔️, and to keep both rooms near one another ✔️. I put in some special room requests and they loved their location and resort! As a bonus, it was a sentimental favorite because their section of the resort was Jamaica: where the Massey's took one of their favorite vacations! 🌴

Did you know about these experiences at Walt Disney World❓

👩‍🍳 The Lowmans each chose a special thing to do while on their trip. Their older daughter chose to take a 90-minute baking class with Grandma! They started the morning at the the bakery before it even opened, where a small group of students learned to make a Minnie Mouse Dome Cake. Of course, they got to have their cake, and eat it, too. ;)

🎈 Kelsi and her parents took a tethered hot air balloon ride on the Aerophile, which goes up to 400 feet in the air, for a birds-eye view of the area.

Meet the real-life inspiration for Pua, the piglet from Moana. You cak find her at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Charlotte Mae is deaf,👂 so she won't hear you, but she may enjoy a gentle pet, if she comes close. Animators drew Pua with lighter-colored spots than her real-life model has. This is one of my favorite souvenirs from our last trip! CHEAP, memorable souvenir idea from Epcot's World Showcase! 🔊 Audio on + details below: 👇 We brought a photo mat in a bubble envelope to the park, along with permanent markers. We asked Kidcot Stop Cast Members who were from the World Showcase countries that they represented to write "I love you!" in their native language. When we got home, we each wrote on it in our own handwriting, too. I didn't want to choose 1 country to photograph, so, keeping with the world theme, I framed this picture from "it's a small world" in Disneyland. Any family/park/travel photo would be perfect! With a bit of effort, we have a lasting, usable souvenir for just the cost of the frame+markers! A few notes: 👉 Some CMs are craftier than others (with the layout) and some have better handwriting than others. So, don't expect perfection. It adds character. 👉 Not all Kidcot CMs are from the country they represent. I asked one CM who was stocking shelves and I actually had to write in Arabic myself because noone in Morocco that day wrote/spoke the language. 👉 Several also wrote, "I like you." It was interesting to see those cultural differences.

We made such sweet memories at Walt Disney World! I love these moments and these smiles!

Ollivander's Wand Ceremony

ALERT: VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS! When we visited Universal, my son was chosen for the Wand Ceremony at Ollivander's. He tried out a few wands and, finally, a phoenix feather wand chose him. I hadn't seen a video of a full ceremony before, so I was surprised by what happened! PRO TIP #1: If you plan to buy a wand, don't just stop in a store. Do the wand show/experience. It's fun. PRO TIP #2: Even if you don't plan to buy a wand, you can still visit the show/experience. You do not have to buy the wand that "chooses you."

I'm not great at making videos (obviously)...I didn't even notice until halfway through that I wasn't even keeping the kids in the same order. 🤣 BUT, nonetheless, here's a little video that shows one of our favorite things about Epcot: traveling around the world! Visit 11 countries in 1 park! Live entertainers, foods, culture, architecture, music, and more! Which World Showcase nation is your favorite, or (if you haven't been to Epcot) which do you most want to see?
