"Soiree in Senegal"

We bid farewell to Saly and began our journey to Dakar, with a memorable stop at the not-so-pink "Pink Lake" (Lac Rose). Although the lake’s famous rosy hue was subdued, the experience was anything but dull.

The highlight of the visit was the ladies taking part in their first camel ride, an exhilarating and laughter-filled adventure that offered incredible views of the surrounding landscapes. The day didn’t end there—after the camel rides, we switched gears and hopped on ATVs for a thrilling ride along the shores of the lake. The blend of adrenaline and scenery made for an unforgettable stop before continuing on to Dakar.

This unique detour perfectly captured the spirit of adventure and discovery that defines "Soiree in Senegal."

The next day of our "Soiree in Senegal" adventure took us to the Bandia Reserve, located in the Mbour region. This remarkable wildlife sanctuary is a haven for nature lovers, offering the chance to experience Senegal's diverse fauna up close in their natural habitat.

As we ventured into the reserve, we were immediately captivated by the lush landscapes and the array of wildlife that greeted us. Towering baobab trees stood as silent witnesses to the harmony of animals and nature, while herds of zebras and antelopes gracefully roamed the savannah. Giraffes peeked out from behind trees, their long necks blending seamlessly into the horizon, and majestic rhinoceroses lumbered peacefully through the brush.

Bandia Reserve is more than a safari; it’s a journey into the heart of Senegal's wilderness.

Yesterday, I did the Lip Smacking Food Tour and I am still full. I may never eat again! 😍 The tour started at 1 pm inside the Venetian and we went to 4 different restaurants. The first Italian, then Japanese/Peruvian, next Mediterranean (Greek), and finally American (steak). Now, this is a reason to visit Vegas.#travel #travelwithcaty #Foodie #food tour #lipsmacking
