The charter boat "Happy Day Today" a 46' Hatteras in business for over 25 years out of Fort Lauderdale. The vessel is fully equipped with all the fishing tackle, licensing, the tackle is light and heavy weight Shimmano and Penn tackle. The boat is fully air conditioned, coolers with ice, frig, and freezer. The cockpit in the boat has 5 chairs which is comfortable for 2 up to 6 people. Species of f

ish we target are Sailfish, King Mackerel, Shark, Mahi - Mahi, Wahoo, Swordfish, Barracuda, Snapper and Amberjack among others. Types of fishing methods are live bait kite fishing, offshore trolling and inshore trolling, bottom and wreck fishing. Any edible caught fish will be iced and filet at the dock. Our goal is to ensure that you have a great time on the water and by involving you and your group with the fishing activities. For example hooking your own fish, assisting with the live baits, wiring and or gaffing the fish into the boat. Also feel free to ask us any questions as we are happy to make your understanding and experience enjoyable. We had an amazing time hosting Dan and his family from Minnesota aboard Happy Day Today and Top Shot Sportfishing Charters for a deep sea fishing adventure here in Fort Lauderdale! Dan was on a mission for some tasty fish to cook up with his family. The highlight of the trip was this awesome Black Grouper caught while using live bait over a sunken shipwreck. What an awesome day on the water with John and his crew aboard the 52’ Hatteras “Happy Day Today” based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We started the trip by catching live bullet Bonita to use as live bait then we fished these baits from 100 to 200 feet of water. The first Smoker King weighed in at 36 pounds and the second came in at a solid 20 pounds. Both fish gave exciting fights and made for a memorable day of fishing.
