At Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians from the 707th and 787th Ordnance Companies, along with interagency partners such as the FBI and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, participated in Operation Cascade Defense. The exercise focused on rendering safe a simulated explosive payload on a drone. This training allowed EOD technicians to hone their skills in a realistic setting, using live explosive tools and working with a military police es**rt. The exercise also provided an opportunity for interagency collaboration and real-world forensics training. The operation prepared EOD teams to confront the evolving threat of drone attacks and enhanced their ability to work together in both domestic and overseas missions.
