January is when most people book vacations. Now is a good time to talk about how I can sprinkle a little travel agent magic on your vacation plans!

🌠During the call we discuss your vacation ideas, a ballpark budget, dates, etc. I look in my crystal ball, tell you the answer to all your vacation dreams, then I book your trip for you. Viola! It's that simple!

Ok, ok, maybe you get a little time to review and decide. But I've booked thousands of vacations and I can usually pinpoint the top 2-3 choices in one call.

🎩 Even more magic happens after the sale. I am your go to person for any questions, and I send a beautiful itinerary a few weeks before you go with all the details of your vacation in one place. It's like having a little version of me telling you what you're going to do in your back pocket!

🆘️ While you are away, I will be available to help in case of emergencies, and/or share how to handle small hiccups. Unfortunately, my magic wand doesn't erase things like flight cancellations and such. I asked Santa for one of those but he didn't deliver. I may not be able to fix it, but I can prepare you for what to expect next, and try to find a resolution.

🌴After you get home, you book your next vacation. Some people think that isn't a requirement. If you are vacationing the right way, you already have one planned before the last one ends.

Remember, even when you book direct with a cruise line or a hotel, or Costco, that’s money going into big corporations. And (most times) you’re getting the same rates that travel advisors offer you, but without the service, love, care, attention, and custom experiences and recommendations.

Costco or Hyatt don’t care when you purchase travel through them, nor do your cruise lines. You’re a number.

I do a joyful little happy dance when I get referrals and repeat requests and it makes my heart happy to see travelers having the time of their lives on vacation✨

Fun fact, Mexico was the 6th most visited country on earth last year!! 🇲🇽 Approximately 33 million of those 42 million came to the Mexican Caribbean (Cancun and surrounding towns).

New year, new travel trends. Here are a few ins & outs for 2024.

➡️In: Recommendations from trusted sources like Travel Advisors like me. 89% of consumers trust recommendations from people they know. Also working with a travel advisor means supporting a local business.
❌Out: Recommendations from random influencers. There is evidence of influencer fatigue among consumers.

➡️In: Slow travel/ Recharge vacation. 2024 has been called “the year of the great recharge”. In 2024 travelers are gravitating away from packed itineraries and becoming more wellness conscientious. Think on a beach vacation perhaps, spa and relaxation.
❌Out: Jam Packed Itineraries: Forbes and other sources indicate thet travelers are in favor of more loose plans to recharge.

➡️In: Go-ccasions. Travelers are using any excuse to justify celebratory group vacations and celebrate big Milestone on a destination.
❌Out: Celebrating big Milestones at home. One in four people want to celebrate their big Milestones with a trip instead of staying in home.

➡️In: Outfit repeating: Younger generations are increasingly focusing on sustainable fashion goals in 2024. The new trend includes buy fewer new clothes, repeat outfits and shop locally.
❌Out: Overpacking. Times reported that 45% of travelers are now choosing not to check any luggage while traveling.
