After almost 9 months, we can happily say our elevator is open and working. One step closer to being back to normal

We are excited and happy to announce that we are open! Thank you to everyone for all of the great comments and well wishes. We look forward to seeing everyone again. Below is more information on how to contact us and what to expect:

Given the current conditions on Fort Myers Beach, we ask that our guests please be aware and consider the following before staying with us:

1. There is currently no elevator and all rooms located on floors 2-5 will be accessed by our stairwells. We thank you for your patience as we undergo repairs.
2. Construction on the hotel will be continuous during business hours and guests are asked to use caution and not access construction areas at any time.
3. Our temporary Rental Office is located on the 3rd floor and can be reached by calling (239) 270-2115.
4. No moving trucks, campers, RVs, or construction equipment are allowed on the property.
5. Only one car is allowed per room in the parking lot and parking passes must be always displayed in the rear-view mirror.
6. There is currently no ground floor office, pool, or downstairs restrooms, no beach furniture for guest use.
7. No pets are allowed on the property.
8. We provide night security on-site from 7pm-7am for the safety of our guests.
9. Housekeeping service are provided every 3 days for all guests.
10. In-suite kitchenettes with a full-size refrigerators, microwaves, stoves and dishwashers are available in every room.
11. Stacked washers and dryers are available in each suite for personal laundry use.
12. We are a non-smoking, non-vaping hotel. Smoking/vaping is allowed in the outside lanai, but not in the rooms. Thank you for being respectful to your fellow guests.

Thank you to all of our guest that have commented and sent their well wishes to us and our staff. We truly do appreciate it and are very thankful to all of you, the extended Edison Beach House family. We are actively working on making the Edison Beach House back to the beautiful and relaxing beach house you all have come to love and enjoy.

We now have the ability to start our refunds so we are starting our refund process next week. We will be starting with the storm date, 9/28/22 and working our way towards January. Please be patient with us as this is a difficult process. Also please do not do charge backs. They will only make our job more difficult.

Again thank you for all your support throughout the 22 years we have been your home away from home on Ft Myers Beach.

To all of our Edison Beach House Guests,

Thank you to all of our guests for your concern and words of encouragement. As you know, Hurricane Ian befell Fort Myers Beach last Wednesday with wide-spread damage to Southwest Florida with Fort Myers Beach being particularly devastated. As we witness this disaster response first-hand, we can’t express our gratitude enough to the First Responders and Ron DeSantis for the incredibly rapid and robust response to this disaster. We are forever grateful that every member of our Edison Beach House family is safe on the mainland and are gradually regaining power and water.

We will provide our guests with updates as we receive them. For those enquiring about room and reservation deposit refunds, please be patient as we will be in recovery phase for some time. We will contact each guest individually over the next few months regarding this and we appreciate your patience. God bless America and all those affected by Hurricane Ian.
