I learned why the palm Trees are brown from a news broadcaster in FL!! Info below 👇

HEADS UP! If you're noticing a lot of brown trees across Florida, that's not Fall Foliage. Hurricane Milton caused a lot of local trees to be "in shock"...battered by strong wind or submerged in salt water from storm surge. That stress causes the leaves to fall or turn brown. Some of them are going to end up dying, but a lot of them will not. Before you attempt to cut them down, give them some time, water, sunlight and a fighting chance to survive. 🍂🌳

Storm Surge caused a lot of clean up. It’s all

Pool contractor is not showing up to do the work on the pool - sigh 😔 BUT he is apparently coming tomorrow!! It will take 2 days to clean out the pool, hoping it’s ready by Saturday at the latest.

Update from HOA:

Please also note, that the only reason the complex is closed is to avoid people from interfering with the crew. The cost is $5,000 PER DAY for clean up. The board wants this done effectively :)

We are making great progress in removing the storm damage at EBTC. Our contractor was on the property with one crew on Monday and today. They continue clearing the Building C parking lot and brick pavers. One skid steer machine began to push the sand away from the gulf side of the C building. Our staff cleaned and pressure washed the lobby floor in building C. The laundry room in building C was cleaned and pressure washed. The sludge was removed from the elevator pits in building C, washed down, sanitized, and vacuumed. Staff cleaned the catch basin near the A – B turnaround so the pool water could be pumped into it. They started to drain the pool, and the pool contractor was called for advice moving forward. The pool level was lowered by about 4 feet and 4 to 6 inches of sand and rocks were found to cover the bottom of the pool. We also have a school fish in the pool. Staff will begin carefully removing the sand and rocks from the pool bottom tomorrow. We do not want to scratch the surface finish of the pool.

Two brick paver installers were on the property to give us estimates for repairing and replacing the damaged brick pavers. This will expedite the repairs to our driveways and walkways.

News update from our HOA BOARD

“Today our contractor was at EBTC with both crews. They continued clearing the parking lots and brick pavers. The damaged pool fence was removed, and the small skid steer removed sand and debris from around the pool. Our staff cleaned and pressure washed the lobby floor, sliding doors tracks, window tracks and furniture in building B. Laundry rooms in building A and B were cleaned and pressure washed. The lobby and laundry room in building C will be cleaned and pressure washed tomorrow. Tomorrow, we hope to have the elevator pits sludge removed, washed down, sanitized, and vacuumed out.”
