Happy Monday! We're hoping everyone's week is off to a great start. Our week started off with a "No Show" this morning...
This may seem like a small thing. Maybe you just changed your mind and didn't feel like getting up early this morning so you decided not to go fishing. However, for a business owner whose livelihood thrives on our charters, it's a very big deal. We must pay for the bait and gasoline ahead of time to prepare for your trip and our captains must get paid, whether you decide to show or not. We reserved the time specifically for you and if you had just let us know ahead of time that you changed your mind, we could've given the space to someone else who actually wanted to go fishing.
Hundreds of dollars must leave our pockets to cover the cost of someone who decides not to show.
We try to run our business the old-fashioned way, on the honor system but unfortunately, we live in times where respect and consideration for others is rare. This is a perfect example of why we require credit card information in order to hold a reservation, and why we reserve the right to charge that card if a person decides not to show without any explanation.
We love our customers and there's nothing we enjoy more than having a great time on the water with you all, but please keep in mind that this is also our bread and butter. We appreciate ALL of you and thank you for understanding. Wishing you all a blessed week! TIGHT LINES!!
