Dear ITR Owners
We received the most recent updates from our contractor and owner’s representative during our board meeting on 1/15/2025. Following is the most relevant information related to the construction completion date and the date that RAL is currently estimating when the resort will be able to open.
1. Claremont’s current projected date for when their reconstruction work will be finished is 1/29/2025. One item that will have to be completed later on is the installation of the windows and door in the office area that overlook the gulf. These windows are on back order as they are a custom item. That said Claremont told us that the office interior is projected to be completed by 1/29/2025 and that the openings where the windows and doors are located will be covered and secured and the office area will be ready for use.
2. RAL’s current estimated timeframe for the resort to open is sometime between 2/15/2025 and 3/1/2025. The major items that will likely determine if the resort is able to open by or prior to 3/1/2025 are as follows:
*When Florida Power and Light comes to the resort to complete all the processes related to restoring power to our facility. FPL has been to ITR to do an initial inspection. The next step is getting them to come back to perform the final tasks to restore electrical service to the building.
*The elevator firm has also visited ITR and will return once electricity is restored. This will allow them to fully assess what will be needed to get the elevator back in operation. They estimate 2-4 weeks to complete the work that will be needed to get the elevator back in service. The board passed a motion at our 1/15/2025 meeting to not open the resort without a functioning elevator. This decision was based on a legal opinion and it is also the recommendation of our management firm.
*There are several inspections that need to take place before we are given approval to open the resort. Claremont assured us that these inspections are easy to schedule and can happen quickly.
I know everyone wants final definitive answers about when the resort will open. So do we. None of this has been easy. We have never had any guarantees during any of this process and it looks like that’s the way it’s going to continue to be. We will know a definitive opening date sometime very soon. As we have often said, once we know you will know! They say patience is a virtue. We will certainly have had a lot of practice with being patient by the time this is all over!
Stay tuned! Stay the course! We need your continued support. I can’t wait for when I write my final update that states THIS IS OUR OPENING DATE! Regular updates will continue to be provided.

Dear ITR Owners
I’m wishing everyone good health and an abundant measure of happiness in 2025!
As you might imagine renovation activity slowed down, especially during the Christmas and New Year holiday season, however progress is still being made and bringing us closer to being able to reopen. We have a board meeting on 1/15/25 at 2:00 PM Eastern where we will be receiving the most current updates on the status of our renovation and the projected opening date for the resort. We will communicate with the owners shortly after this meeting and provide the most recent and current information about the completion of the rebuild and the opening of the resort.
We continue to persist in our efforts to do everything in our power to reopen ITR as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

The exterior painting continues, the last of the sliders have been installed and the crew is working on the patching and trim still. Interior painting continues. The plumbers are installing fixtures and we now have kitchen sinks! Once the exterior painting is finished the pool and pool deck work will begin.

Eight property owners (restaurants-La Ola & Moms to name two, private home owners and two condominiums-Windward Passage and Island Towers) will appear in front of a State Administrative Hearing Judge on January 7th as the Town of Fort Myers Beach goes after these properties to remove trailers and conex storage boxes. RAL received notice of this with a 47-page Notice of Violation Hearing for Jan 7, 2025 late this afternoon (December 27, 2024). John Shaw spoke with the building contractor, Claremont’s owner who is responsible for the Conex storage boxes used for construction materials storage, and was assured they would have them removed next week. They also said they would pay, if there was any cost involved, if John could not resolve it with the town prior to the hearing. This should not be a problem if the violation is corrected. As always we will update you as soon as we have more information regarding this matter.

The lanai floors are being prepared for their finishing coats. Sliders are being installed on the third floor. Crown moldings and baseboards are getting installed.
