The appliances have started arriving. A temporary lift has been installed to move the appliances to the floors as they are ready for them. A section of railing has to be removed in order to remove the appliances from the lift. We appreciate the job these crews are doing.

Dear ITR Owners;
Brief, encouraging, (mostly) rebuild update based on information received at our 12/12/2024 Board Meeting.
Claremont confirmed their projected 1/22/2025 completion date and RAL confirmed their projected date of 2/8/2025 for opening the resort. These are still projections and not guarantees.
Things are moving very quickly, the rate of progress has increased and some units are nearly finished. Remember that once Claremont finishes their work RAL will need to move everything into the units and perform a final thorough cleaning. Everything possible is being done to complete the project and to open ASAP. Most everything we learned from Claremont and RAL at our 12/12/2024 meeting was very positive and encouraging. Last minute, unanticipated challenges are still being faced but these are also being handled effectively and in an expedited manner. One example; We learned last week that we needed to make some changes where the fire hydrant was placed in order to meet current code requirements. RAL immediately met with a fire department official to obtain all information needed and then secured the services of a firm to perform the necessary work. The board approved RAL’s recommendation immediately to avoid any delay in the completion date.
There are a couple of potential “flies in the ointment” that could possibly cause some further delays in opening the resort. First, Claremont is experiencing some supply chain issues for some essential electrical components. At this time they feel that they should have these items soon so further delays can be avoided but only time will tell. Another uncertainty involves the building elevator. We have been repeatedly told that it is not unusual for the work on elevators to take longer than anticipated and after not being used for over 2 years we have no idea what will be needed to make the elevator usable again. The elevator firm is scheduled to begin work on the elevator on 12/15/2024 so we should have pretty good idea very soon of what needs to be done and how long it will take.
There is plenty of good news to report but also a few hard realities that must be recognized and faced. It’s called reality! We will face and deal with whatever remaining challenges that arise in the same way we have faced them for over 2 years and that is with determination, competence, persistence and dedication until they are overcome. We will continue to stay the course, keep the faith and reopen ITR ASAP. Regular updates will continue to be provided.
No one said this was going to be easy but once it’s all said and done it will be very satisfying to finally reopen and welcome all of our owners back to the Brand Spankin New Island Towers Resort!
