Captain John & Kathy Cookman have renovated the 40 foot pontoon boat formerly known as Manatee Rover. Tours are available on Saturday's at 10am and Sunday's at 1pm until the weather turns cooler and the manatee's move in. Once that occurs, tours will be offered more frequently. All tours will depart from Sweetwater Landing Marina. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

We were on an Eco tour today coming out of the Franklin Lock heading west and enjoyed a few moments with a mother manatee and her calf. Water temperature was 77 degrees at the time of the observation. It won't be long!!!!

MANATEE REPORTING: After Hurricane Helene passes, if you see manatees in distress or unusual places (like a parking lot ditch!) please call FWC at 1-888-404-3922. We coordinate with this state agency to identify manatees in distress and their rescue! Stay safe out there!

2/11/24-2/18/24 there will be no manatee tours offered due to a death in our family. The following week will depend on the water temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding estuaries as to whether or not we will be conducting manatee tours. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
