We believe that the inspiration sparked by an adventurous and eye-opening trip empowers us with the tools and energy to make small, positive changes in our lives. With Healthy Traveler Retreats, you’ll get active, eat local, and give back to the communities you visit. We explore remote locations that give us access to enjoy the natural environment so we can hike, swim, wander or bathe in it. Local

chefs prepare daily meals using the best ingredients from the region and lead a cooking class so we can take some tips home with us. We get to know the culture through our local partners and guides. And we meet community leaders who are doing good in their countries and support them through a contribution of profits or volunteer activity. Traveling in a responsible and sustainable way is also very important to us. We travel in small groups of about 8-12 people. Meals are served family style in communal spaces. Accommodations are typically quaint, eco-friendly hotels or resorts where we'll pair you with another healthy traveler to share a room (unless you choose the single occupancy rate.) Above all, our trips are meant to relax, rejuvenate and restore you. We create a balanced schedule with plenty of activities and downtime. Stretch it out in morning yoga or sleep till breakfast; It’s up to you.

Meet the team for our Family Retreat to Italy. Jessie & Al, two mamas with a deep love for travel and the enriching experiences that come along with it.

Jessie has been a Montessori educator for the past 15+years. She has had the privilege of working with and is certified in teaching children from 1-12 years old with a Masters in Education. She is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher for children and adults and integrates her yoga and mindfulness experience with Montessori pedagogy, and her knowledge of child development. She believes that travel is the best experiential learning that children can have and has traveled extensively with her daughter.

Explore Tuscany June 7-15, 2025, on a kid-friendly retreat. Enjoy pasta making, scavenger hunts, wild swimming, vineyard visits, and a lot of gelato.

Took a drive, then a walk to Imlil, a small Berber village in the High Atlas, in the heart of rural Morocco. Our hosts Lahsan & Hassan shared a tea ceremony with us and taught us how to make traditional bread.

Sail, Swim, Eat. • A day in the life of an HTR Traveler 👇👇 Relax the afternoon away swimming in the infinity pool and indulging in a good book. At 3:30pm you’ll head to a nearby pier to board June Bahtra our private sailboat for the evening. Sail around Phang Na Bay taking in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Phang Nga Bay is a bay in the Strait of Malacca between the island of Phuket and the Malay peninsula of southern Thailand. Since 1981, an extensive section of the bay has been protected as the Ao Phang Nga National Park. Full of limestone cliffs and caves. Thai style dinner will be served aboard during sunset.
