Sadly we had to remove a large group of trees in the center of our driveway that recently died. We loved our trees but we think it made a drastic improvement to the cabins look and accessibility.

MAPA has proudly presented Colorfest for the past 40 years. Sometimes, the festival has been forced to change with the times. This year, a big change is coming!
•
We have outgrown the Brow Park area due to limited parking and dense traffic. Safety concerns are paramount. Emergency and rescue vehicles must have free access when they are called (especially if it's to save a life).
•
We are excited to announce that the festival will continue its tradition of family-friendly fun at the site of the historic Moon Lake School on the eastern edge of Mentone's town limits.
•
Festivalgoers will meander throughout the charming 5-acre campus, with arts & crafts vendors located in the field in front of the gym, in the parking area in front of the main building, in the courtyard, in the area behind the library, and behind the lunchroom.
•
As always, talented regional arts & crafts vendors will be selling unique goods that are hand-made. Festival-style food and refreshments will be served at food trucks and tents. Live music will be performed throughout the weekend by regional musicians, either in the grassy amphitheater or the new Community Meeting Room inside the old schoolhouse. Children's activities will be offered under a covered pavilion near the playground.

We never pick the names of our cabins, they tend to name themselves. Construction was delayed on this cabin by several weeks when we discovered a nest being built in the electrical panel. We completely worked around the new tenant. We had to leave the kitchen window open for weeks so the bird could come an go. One day we walked into all the hatchlings running around the floors, It took another week or so for the birds to completely abandon the nest. Nature intended on this cabin being called the "Bird House"
