Universal Travel is on Madeira, an island in the Atlantic Ocean, 600 miles from Portugal and only 300 miles from the northwestern coast of Africa. Our group checked in at one of the world's leading hotels, the luxurious Savoy Palace, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. And boy, did we start off our tour with a big bang! 💥
From a city walking tour of Funchal, including stops at the uniquely painted doors of Rua de Santa Maria (one of Funchal's oldest streets), a visit to one of the last embroidery factories on the island, to the old market filled with spices, flowers, fruits, and fresh fish. We explored the streets of Funchal via an exhilarating Tuk-Tuk ride and went downhill on a once-in-a-lifetime Toboggan Wicker Sledge ride experience, navigated by professional drivers.WOW🛷🛷🛷‼️
