Praying for God's hand over hurricane milton for its weakening/dissipating/dissolving as it approaches Florida and throughout its path... and as we prayer warriors continue to pray for the scores of lives horribly affected in the Southeastern US from the last hurricane.
May we call for a hedge of Divine protection around this whole state now.

Our thoughts are with those to the east affected by the impacts of Hurricane Helene. Below is a message from Okaloosa County Director of Public Safety Patrick Maddox related to some tropical activity on the map below. The main message... "Breathe - it's OK."

𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙤𝙭:
We were extremely fortunate in our experience with Hurricane Helene and are already sending assets East to assist our partners in affected areas.

Our tropical map has some activity, and I rarely address systems this far out, but it has become more and more necessary to combat the social media meteorology professionals who want to push fear and hype in an effort to get you to share their misinformation.

There is not an immediate Hurricane behind Helene coming to our area. The only system on the map that has my attention is the yet-unformed potential low pressure to possibly develop in the Caribbean (30% over 7 days).

Could this develop in a week or two? Maybe.
Could it affect our area at some point? Maybe.
Could it not develop at all? Maybe.

This is hurricane season, and this is what happens in the Gulf this time of year. There is no reliable model in the world that can forecast this system at this point. Breathe- it’s OK. If this system develops, we’ll deal with it when and if it becomes an issue for our area.

Seek trusted media sources for information regarding safety issues. We will keep you in the loop as necessary. Enjoy the drop in humidity and beautiful weather. I think everybody needs a brief respite after this last week-long battle.

The local authorities are expecting Helene to make landfall east of our area. The possibility of rain & wind for our area exists but not severe.

I am monitoring Helene very closely & will update when I get further information.

My family enjoyed a fantastic lunch special the other day at Wood Foot $10 - 2 slices of pizza, salad & a soda or tea. Pizza is actually on Focaccia Bread that is so yummy. Stop by Monday-Friday 11-2 to grab this great deal.

For Guests with kiddos I highly recommend going here. My daughter took our 18 month old granddaughter & she absolutely loved it.
