By introducing our interactive display, we aim to raise awareness about their significance and the conservation efforts needed to protect them.

White, brown spots, camo collar ‘real tree’ or ‘browning’ brand. She was found near the Shalimar Baptist church. She is fed and watered at my house. I didn’t want her caught in the storm. Once the storm passes I will take her to a nearby shelter if she isn’t picked up.

📣 Attn: Fines for trespassing violations at the Santa Rosa Island Closed Test Area increased May 31, 2024. The trespassing fine is a minimum of $250 for a first-time offense. The previous fine was $65.

The U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida Pensacola Division modified the fines for violations of laws and regulations enforced by the U.S. within the boundaries of Eglin AFB.

The 96th Security Forces Squadron patrols will issue citations to trespassers at the site. Individuals cited for trespassing must either appear before a U.S. magistrate judge or if eligible, pay the $250 fine.

There are “NO ADMITTANCE” signage and barriers identifying the SRI Closed Test area, which stretches west of the El Matador Condominiums in Fort Walton Beach to Navarre Beach.

Heyoooo!! TWO. MORE. SLEEPS!!! That’s right!! Sea Turtle nesting season begins in the panhandle Wednesday, May 1!!🐢🥳

You may have heard they are already making their way onto our beaches as our neighboring counties have already had some nesting action!! Wooo!

This means we need to make sure we are doing our part by keeping our beaches 🫡

👣 Take all your trash and belongings with you at the end of the day. Leave nothing but your footprints behind.

🚫💡Do not use white lights on the beach and turn off all beachfront lighting. If you are on the beach after dark, be sure to use turtle safe lighting♥️.

🚫🏰 Knock down all sand art and FILL ALL HOLES!!! Holes are dangerous for both sea turtles and humans!!

We are looking forward to a GREAT season knowing we have YOUR 🫵 help and support for our nesting sea turtles and their babies to be successful and safe!! 🫶 It takes a village and we need you!!
