Current snowbirds!!
I have a beautiful orange tree and it has produced lots of oranges. I have waited for 3 years as the last two didn’t produce. I have had them before and it’s like eating pineapple in Hawaii. It’s just different! Sweet, juicy, best oranges I ever ate!
The issue is many of the oranges turn brown before they fall off the tree. So they don’t look very pretty. But when you cut them, ohhhh they are perfect. It’s a gentle reminder that we shouldn’t judge by what’s on the outside, but rather it is what is on the inside that is important.
I would like to deliver a fresh orange to all my snowbirds. All you have to do is comment on this post, or text me. Locally grown by me (Danica), right here in Fort Walton Beach! 🍊 ❤️

I don’t want to end up with “A Boy Named Sue.” So tell me, do I have these right!?
(The ones with 2 names are duplexes.)

The green cottage will soon have new siding and will be brighter like the paint swatch. That block is history. And new windows are only a week away. So much work going on…I can’t wait to show you!

IT’S SNOWING AT THE BEACH!
My favorite part is all of you that asked if I needed a rescue (all the way from Indiana!), those that said your kids asked about me, and those who took time to ask how things were and if it was really snowing. Thank you for giving me a warm heart on a cold day!

You think being a snowbird is just about better weather? HECK NO!! This is one of my snowbirds and she has weeks for her girlfriends, weeks for her “Grandsugars,” weeks for her husband, and weeks for herself!! Come have your own PJ party—make your own rules and live your best life!

Waterscape is one of the most popular resorts in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area. We have multiple pools with waterfalls (one pool heated seasonally), lily pad course, waterslide, lazy river, splash pad, 2 hot tubs, poolside gas grilling, and it’s all BEACHFRONT! My rentals include two chairs, umbrella, and free kayak and paddleboards set up on the beach for you. We also have a ton of onsite activities including a weekly pirate show, a Glow Party with summer fireworks afterwards, rubber ducky race in the lazy river, DJ pool party, Dive-in movie at the pool, scavenger hunt, and more!

Adventures with Watermelon 🚲 🍉
It has been on my bucket list a while to ride from Navarre to Pensacola, and this past weekend I did it. 35 miles, easy ride except for the wind. This is a BEAUTIFUL road through our National Seashore (think, national forest minus the forest). Drive it when you come down. Stop by the pristine and empty beaches. I enjoyed the ride as much as 30A. Way less distractions and cars. Y’all get it. 💪

It’s time to firm up some plans and let these start forming individual character. Some of the names I am somewhat set on but if you can tell me something better, I will change my mind!! The bright green and hot pink cottages are duplexes so we will need two names for those colors. Tell me what you think!!!

My cute little cottages are coming right along! This is a slooooow process but my ideas take time to develop and I want to ensure I’m doing things right for the long term. Last week we tackled doors and OH MY what a nice change. The cottages are small and when inside, it’s nice to have sunlight and be able to see outside. I got all new doors with 75% glass and built-in blinds (inside the glass!). This changes the look of the cottages from the outside as well as from the inside. Many of the doors were dented up and not very appealing. New windows are coming very soon and that is going to elevate us another step. One day y’all, everyone is going to notice this lot!!! One day…lots of money later…
