When you come off the Pufferbelly Trail just before W State - this is what you'll see at the start of the trail along Spy Run Creek.

Follow it and go under Clinton Street, then turn south along the trail and head toward Lawton Park and reunite with the Rivergreenway at the Skate Park.

The turnaround as measured will be on the Rivergreenway on the east side of the Water Filtration plant.

Pre Race Email sent to Registrants today (Please know that Virtual Runners will be sent another email tomorrow on how to submit their times):

Hello Gingerbread Pursuit Runners -

Packet pick up will be at Fleet Feet Sports in Village of Coventry (US 24/W Jefferson at I-69) from 2 pm until 7 pm.
We would like most of the packets picked up today so as to minimize contact Saturday morning. Packets will include your bib number, safety pins and your t-shirt.

Tomorrow morning - BRING YOUR MASK. You will be required to wear the mask at all times in which you may be in proximity to others. You must wear a mask at the start and at the finish or risk being disqualified.
STAY SOCIALLY DISTANCED AT ALL TIMES. We mean AT ALL TIMES. The start line will be on Harrison Street just north of Superior Street. The Start Line will remain open for as long as 10 minutes to allow everyone to have a socially distanced start.

Do not approach the Start Area until 4 minutes before the start. REMAIN SOCIALLY DISTANCED AT ALL TIMES.

We will have late packet pick up under the Harrison Street railroad elevation just south of Superior Street. Do not crowd. Stay socially distanced - and allow time for our volunteers to place your bag on the table in front of the volunteer for you to pick up.

Due to construction, the finish line will be on the Greenway at approximately where Third Street meets. Once you finish, do not congregate. Please go back to your cars after receiving your giant Spanglers candy cane and picking up a bottle of water.

Awards will be prepared for pick up at Fleet Feet after the 20th.

We hope to be back to normal in 2021 with all that goes with a run of celebration and fun.

But for now, circumstances require your discipline in slowing the spread of the scourge of COVID. We have an approved safety plan for this event and we need to ensure compliance. You are trained and disciplined to run 4 miles; you are already way ahead of the rest of the population. Let's protect everyone together. I know that you will.

It is likely to be raining tomorrow. Come prepared with your wet weather running gear. As one registrant told me this morning, "That's OK. I ran cross-country; it's my kind of running weather." Know, however, we will have trash bags near the start if you need to fashion your own protective garment.

Let's be safe. Let's have fun. See you soon.

Best regards,

Mitch Harper

REGISTRATION CAP RAISED for INDIVIDUAL Registrants!

We appreciated a call from a runner which prompted us to look at the total number registered. We had reached the cap on the individual registrations but not the family registration category.

That resulted us in raising the individual registration cap to allow that category to be reopened.

If you know someone who had been shut off from registering in the individual category the last day or so, let them know more slots have opened up as we 'recalibrated' the caps.

The readjustment still keeps our number in line with our Board of Health approved health and safety plan. Help us safeguard you, your family, your fellow runners and the community by wearing a mask, maintaining a safe distance, not congregating, washing your hands and/or using sanitizer, and being MINDFUL.
