It is very easy to get caught up in the shuffle… not the tap step, but the shuffle of life.

It is important to remember to take a step back and reflect on the things that sometimes get forgotten in the everyday shuffle. Do not let the spontaneous and chaotic factors of life get in the way of putting your energy where you want it to be.

These factors of life are not obstacles but only hurdles to jump over.

Listen up dancers! 📢

Don’t feel pressured to always be on the move. Over-scheduling yourself can be very dangerous for your health. It can lead to fatigue, burnout, stress, and anxiety.

If your mind and body are telling you to slow down, it is for a reason. It is perfectly okay to take a break.

Saturday marked the 2nd Annual Company Kick Off Picnic at the Franksville Craft Beer Garden. The dancers made goals, decorated rocks (that you can find at the studio), snacked, played team bonding games, and even a little kickball. Thank you everyone who attended and a special thanks to the Michel’s and staff at FCBG for hosting! We are excited for a great year!

Technique is the foundation of any style of dance. Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, you name it! When you see a dancer who you admire for their performance, it’s usually because they have found the balance between their technical skill and expression.

Goodbye summer. Hello fall! Our company dancers have already been hard at work learning their solos, duets, trios, and small group routines. They are excited to get back in the studio and start learning their group dances!

Children have to balance school and extracurricular activities. Adults have to balance their careers and families. Regardless of what you are balancing, the balancing act of life NEVER stops… so as we say in dance class, “find your center!”
