Today we started our day venturing off to Franklin to see Christmas in July downtown festival. Then over to JW Mitchell u-pick fields to get a bushel of amazing peaches. From there we went to Tellico fish farm and caught a few rainbow trout for the smoker. More to come...

Getting ready to head back up to the cabin in a couple of weeks. Bringing our "pack" of frenchies to keep us busy as well as some more "Bear stuff" decorations. We are planning to go white water rafting, tubing in the Tennessee River, Andy's Trout farm, and possibly head to Clingmans Dome.We will be sure to post pics of our travels.

Eva and I just returned from another great trip to the cabin. We had a few projects to do but were still able to venture out and visit some local sites. Mingo Falls (45 minutes away) is an awesome site to see. The trail going to the falls was fun with a stairway which included 161 steps, but NOT bad at all on the knees. While in Cherokee we went to see the elk herd but our timing was off, you need to be there early or late in the afternoon. While at the cabin we pressure washed and stained as well as added lights to the gazebo and enjoyed the peace and quiet of walking the trails below. The weather was perfect 50s in the morning, 70s in the afternoon, with no rain at all. There are still a couple of openings in October on our calendar for the leaf season if anyone wants to enjoy the sites. We are already planning our next trip after Christmas.

STARLINK Wifi is now available at our cabin!! We have been trying for months to get it and it has finally become available to us. This will be a free offering with unlimited data use while staying at our cabin. There are still plenty of vacancies for this upcoming leaf season so if you want to enjoy the beauty of Smoky Mountains in full splendor, give us a call and we will make it happen.

Just catching up from our last visit to the cabin that became a workcation (working vacation). The winter storm Elliot caused havoc on our water pipes and faucets which meant we had to put on our plumbers hats! While we were in the fixing mood we rescreened the entire patio as well as a few additions to the interior, (Can't thank you enough Ray for the help!!!) New comforters, new washer & dryer, and more bears!!! We had time to go to Otter Creek Trout farm with Ray & Amanda and visit our friend Alex . While in Franklin you could see that the hiking season was in full swing. The deer were also in full swing coming out just about every evening and morning to feed. Here are a few pics of our trip and revisions. Eva has a break in May so we are heading back up again, this time to relax...no repairs!!

Just got back from our end of the year stay at the cabin. We upgraded one of the bedroom sets, living room tables as well as adding a beautiful dining room table. The down side was this winter storm Elliott froze our water supply and forced us to cut our trip short. We will head back in early March to reopen and start a new season. Let us know if you would like to experience this amazing mountain cabin getaway!

We just got back from the cabin a couple of days ago and I wanted to share with you the amazing intarsia bear head Eva created to adorn our walls. It took many hours and amazing talent to make it come to life!!! Those eyes are watching you!!!! The knot in the wood is his beauty mark. LOL
