How nice to see--paved trail from the Tassee Bridge to Tassee Shelter! The County contracted to have the Greenway re-paved, so as we received word, we'll pass along the next section to be done. We do know the last paving will begin behind the the Highlands Rd shopping center.

One of the most incredible stretches of road in Western North Carolina right here - the Cullasaja River Gorge winds its way up to Highlands from Franklin. This section of road is home to incredible waterfalls, including the spectacular Cullasaja Falls in the upper middle of the photo. The 250’ falls are the tallest in the gorge.

The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is looking for crafters and food vendors/food trucks for the Mountain High Music, Craft, and Car Show on Saturday, October 14th.

The event is being held at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts.

Fireworks Over Franklin is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th. Test fireworks will be fired at 9:00 and 9:15 p.m. to help you determine if you have a good viewing location.
