The second and final night of Winter Wonderland is this Saturday, December 7th! Keep in mind that Main Street will be closed to traffic and parking beginning at 4:00 p.m. Iotla and Stewart Streets will also be closed for the event. There is plenty of parking throughout the downtown area and detours will be marked. Hours for Winter Wonderland are from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!!

How nice to see--paved trail from the Tassee Bridge to Tassee Shelter! The County contracted to have the Greenway re-paved, so as we received word, we'll pass along the next section to be done. We do know the last paving will begin behind the the Highlands Rd shopping center.

One of the most incredible stretches of road in Western North Carolina right here - the Cullasaja River Gorge winds its way up to Highlands from Franklin. This section of road is home to incredible waterfalls, including the spectacular Cullasaja Falls in the upper middle of the photo. The 250’ falls are the tallest in the gorge.
