This fall light + changing leaves make me so happy 🍁 This view is so lovely, I can’t wait for these cabins to be finished and opened to guests!!! Dan has been hard at work and we are shooting for year end 🤞🏻 We’ve been trying to do a better job balancing work and personal life with this build- when we built the first 3, it was so intense and fast that we majorly burned ourselves out. One of the biggest drivers to start this business was to have more control over our time and to be together, so trying to remember that as we hustle at the end! Especially in this advent season 🎄

🍕 Pizza night is better at A-Frame Ranch!! We started doing Pizza/Movie every Friday night a couple years ago and I look forward to it all week long. If we aren’t making our own ( please bring back the refrigerated dough balls!!) we’ve got some drool worthy options in Fredericksburg:

Just the best! A classic go-to for our family or date nights, Hondo’s is always a good time. The margaritas are delicious and strong, the live music sets the mood, and the patio is perfect year round thanks to the shade trees. You may have to wait for a table on busy weekends, but they recently added extra deck space, so grab a drink and hang out! Grab a partner for some two-stepping while you’re at it 😉

I love that the windows let you feel like you’re out in nature, while sitting in the cool AC 😄 Thankful for the stock tank pools to take a dip in, too!! Our girls start swim lessons next week and we’re looking forward to lots of time in the water this summer.

Things have been quiet on social media due to welcoming our sweet new addition! Definitely an adjustment and beyond grateful for our family and community! Dan has still been hard at work on phase 2 and keeping up with A-Frame Ranch (paternity leave is challenging when you work for yourself, ha). Excited to share more as we get back into the swing of things, and saying that publicly to hold myself accountable 😄

Continuing on the local favorites train: Chase’s Place Kitchen + Cocktails! The drinks are inventive and fresh, and the food menu is varied, but small (which I appreciate) and always changing. The interior is super cozy for a romantic date night and the patio is so nice for a better weather day! If you’re staying in our Well House property, this place is an easy walk away.

🌟 NEW cabins are coming 🌟 We are officially in construction mode on Phase II of A-Frame Ranch, and couldn’t be more excited about this project. It’s been over a year in the making, and the main reason we felt ready to move full-time to Fredericksburg. We finally closed on the financing a couple weeks ago, and Dan had already been working on getting the foundations into place, because these babies are going to be wayyyy up in the air!

Speaking of babies… we also have a human little one in the making! He’ll arrive in late March, so things may be a little wild around here for a while, but as always, we love sharing our Fredericksburg place and life with y’all!

Sunset Grill is a frequent dining spot for us! Breakfast and lunch are served all day and we’ve yet to find a menu item that isn’t delicious 🤤 A favorite is the Big A** Breakfast Sandwich- our cousins order it every time they’re in town, and even tried to recreate it at home! I’m personally a fan of The Josephine (brie + fig on a biscuit) and the Southwestern Turkey Melt.

They don’t take reservations, but you can check the waitlist from their website, which is super convenient on busier weekends. Closed Wednesdays.
