This month, River Rock Outfitter marks its 10th anniversary, a decade of passion, outdoor education, and dedicated community service right here in Fredericksburg. From river safety to outdoor clinics, they've been a beloved part of our local landscape.

Exciting news: in 2025, River Rock Outfitter will open TWO new locations! 🏞️ In January, their outdoor lifestyle boutique launches at 708 Caroline St., and in April, a new adventure center will bring even more gear, clinics, and hands-on learning to the community.

🕸Looking for a spooky... but maybe not scary... good time?🦇

Come out to our 3rd Annual Shiver by the River Event on Saturday!

From 6:30 PM to 8 PM join us to learn about the nocturnal natives that live by the Rappahannock! Our eerie educators have put together information tables, with activities and crafts to help demystify some creatures others might call frightening.

🔥 Relax by the campfire
🔎 Participate in a scavenger hunt
🪱 Test your courage with our creepy crawlies and more!

This event is perfect for children ages Pre-K through 4th grade. Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes 🥾 and bring a flashlight 🔦 or headlamp! Adults MUST STAY with their children. No drop offs will be allowed.

We will also be joined by Earthquest - Wildlife Education Center who will be bringing some spooky feathered friends! 🦉
