Happy Summer Solstice! π Itβs a super hot and sunny solstice and a perfect day for making sun tea in honor of the changing season. This tea has wild Wood Sorrel and a few plants from the garden: Chamomile, Bee Balm and Peony. Tear and crush the leaves and blossoms a bit, shake it up and let it have a sun bath for the day! We also like to ask permission of the plants and thank them, the Sun and earth for these solstice gifts. ππΏππΌπ
Itβs so quiet while everyone is on a walk to Frost Gully Brook. ππΌπΏ
The first week of Summer Program is in the books! Weβre looking forward to many more weeks of fun at TTT! ππ¦πΏπΌ #mainesummer #summercamp #naturecamp #kidsoutside #natureimmersion #forestfun #freeportme #freeportmaine

Each spring as we near the end of nine months in our Homeschool Nature Immersion Program, we hold apple tree ceremonies to celebrate every child and teen who has been with us, and families are invited to attend and share in this special TTT tradition. We share moments of gratitude for each other, the earth and ourselves. Every kiddo receives a special message written by our Guides and then everyone breathes or infuses their gratitudes and wishes into a nature item, which is placed at the base of a newly planted apple tree (one tree per cohort). Each ceremony ends with a a big group howl or joyful noise! Thank to all the families who were able to join us, helping to make our ceremonies extra special. ππ²πΏπ₯°
