Within our communities, we’re encouraged that COVID-19 guidelines have been adjusted and eased by public health and government officials, paving the path for many businesses and industries to take positive steps forward.

As we have done since reopening, we’ve been very intentional and gradual in our approach to our COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Based on recent trends and guidance, Walt Disney World Resort will be making more adjustments to these measures, including physical distancing and face coverings.

Beginning June 15, you will start to notice the following changes:

FACE COVERINGS
Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in most areas. Face coverings will still be required of all Guests on Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails and Disney Skyliner. While we will not require proof of vaccination, we expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attractions and transportation. Guests must observe current policies on face coverings until June 15.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We will be relaxing physical distancing guidelines for Guests. This will be visible in places like queues, shops, restaurants, attraction boarding, transportation and our theaters. It’s important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable. We’re not quite ready to bring back everything yet, but we are optimistic and look forward to the day when Disney pals and princesses are able to hug once again.

CLEANING
We will continue the high standards for cleanliness and sanitation we’ve always set for ourselves. Cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer stations will still be available.

We encourage people to get vaccinated.

Welcome back to the magic of the Disneyland Resort! Along with the “Know Before You Go” information we have previously shared, we wanted to share a planning check list of important reminders and some tips to prepare for an upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Here are several reminders to help guests have a seamless visit!

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:
Make sure you have your ticket AND theme park reservation confirmation
Remember that all guests ages 3 and up will need both a valid ticket and theme park reservation for the same day and same park they want to visit, in order to be admitted into the theme parks. Theme park reservations have to be made in advance, and they’re limited and subject to availability. If you do not have an applicable theme park reservation confirmation, you will not be granted access to the theme parks.

Also, be sure you have proof of California residency with you as only California residents may visit the parks at this time. You may be asked to show such proof of residency, as necessary.

DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION OF THE DISNEY APP*
Make the most of your visit with the Disneyland mobile app! Link your tickets, mobile order food and beverages at select locations, view attraction wait times, park maps, and hours of operation, make dining reservations in advance, and so much more. These features also help with a more contactless experience!

Also, be sure to have location services and notifications enabled for important updates and information about the Disneyland Resort.

STARTING YOUR DAY AT DISNEYLAND PARK?
Then access the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue from wherever you are, beginning at 7 a.m.
Disney will continue using a virtual queue system for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The attraction’s virtual queue is only accessible via the Disneyland mobile app, and you can only experience the attraction by joining the virtual queue. Beginning April 30, distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment will be at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily.**

Guests with a valid ticket and theme park reservation who will start their day at Disneyland Park will be able to access the virtual queue system with the Disneyland app and check for an available boarding group starting at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation. This can be done before you leave your hotel, home, or wherever else you may be at that time! Guests will need to have their park tickets linked to their Disney account.

If you don’t begin your day at Disneyland park, you may still be able to access the virtual queue opportunity beginning at 12 p.m. Guests who have a valid ticket and park reservation, and have entered Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket by noon, may access the virtual queue system to check for available boarding groups beginning at 12 p.m. Such guests who obtain a boarding group may then enter Disneyland Park with their Park Hopper ticket after 1 p.m. for their boarding group, subject to availability.

Hotel Guests may use Online Check-In Online service in Advance!
If you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, save time with the new pre-arrival online check-in service feature (available up to five days in advance of arrival), which saves time and is one more way to promote physical distancing. You can opt-in to receive a text message to let you know when your room is ready on arrival day, and your keys are available for pick-up at the Front Desk.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
Park at Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals Parking Structure
When you arrive at the toll booths for Mickey & Friends or the Pixar Pals parking structures, you will be asked if you have tickets and a theme park reservation. Because you will already have a theme park reservation, there’s no need to rush or get here early. But do allow time for a leisurely stroll along the pedestrian bridge from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures, as the tram will not be operating. For your convenience, stroller, wheelchair and ECV rentals will be available at the parking structure.

To help with physical distancing requirements, we don’t encourage early arrivals, and will allow no line ups prior to 6 a.m., when the parking lot and security screening open on opening weekend. Note that state guidelines prohibit eating or drinking while waiting in line, so please finish your coffee in the car first.

DOWNTOWN DISNEY DISTRICT INFO:
Downtown Disney District is open at 10 a.m. on April 30 and at 9 a.m., May 1 and beyond. The district stays open after the theme parks close, so it’s a great place to explore before, during or after your day at the parks. Downtown Disney District parking is located in the Simba Lot, which will change to payment upon exit beginning April 30, and hourly prices with validation returns.


Remember your face covering!
And as a friendly reminder, appropriate face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and older throughout the resort

DURING YOUR VISIT:
Reminder – Park Hopper ticket benefits begin at 1 p.m.
If you have a Park Hopper ticket and an appropriate park reservation, you may visit the second park on the same day anytime after 1 p.m.

Plan ahead and use the mobile ordering service to order food and beverages!
The mobile order service is the primary way to order food and beverages at many dining locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. More locations are being added and existing locations are expanding mobile order lanes and pick-up windows. Food and beverages can only be consumed in dedicated dining areas, following the state’s health and safety guidelines.

TIP!!! Place your order early in the day to make sure your meal is prepared at your preferred dining time. When you arrive at the restaurant location, tap “I’m here,” in the app and head to the pick-up area. The number of available times at each food and beverage location is limited to ensure guests are able to dine efficiently, so be sure to check the many dining choices throughout the parks!

Use cashless transactions for a contactless payment experience
There are now more contactless ways to pay throughout your day, including Apple Pay, dining cards and gift cards.

**You must have a valid admission ticket and theme park reservation for Disneyland park. Access to a Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed. In order to give as many Guests as possible the opportunity to join the Resistance, each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day. Distribution times are subject to change or cancellation. Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Among the European countries open to US Visitors (Croatia, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Turkey), FRANCE will soon be Re-opening to US tourists* for summer travel as well.
*For those fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or testing negative for Covid-19.
There are rumblings that the UK will soon open to US visitors as well.

Another important (albeit selfish) reason to get fully vaccinated -- you can help get your country to herd immunity faster, and have the added benefit of being able to travel again!

French President Emmanuel Macron revealed the country was working on a plan to allow vaccinated Americans to be able to visit this summer.

TICKETS NOW ON SALE!
As announced, Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park plan to reopen on April 30, with limited capacity.
When Disney reopens their two theme parks, they will have enhanced health and well-being measures, and will limit capacity through a new theme park reservation system. Theme park reservations are currently available online, in advance only, for a specific date, subject to availability.

Today, new theme park ticket sales have resumed, and guests without existing park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations. Hotel and package reservations for stays at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, as well as 37 Good Neighbor Hotels, are also now available.
* Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, per state guidelines.*

Tip: Be sure you log in to your Disney account FIRST to link valid theme park tickets prior to accessing the park reservation system.

For guests who purchased a 2020 Military Salute Ticket, the expiration date has been extended through December 16, 2021. Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days.
Currently, new Military Salute Tickets are not available for purchase for 2021 as Disneyland Resort adjusts to changing state guidelines.

Magic is Back at Disneyland Resort!
After being closed for more than one year, magic is finally returning to the Disneyland Resort theme parks! Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park are planning to officially reopen to the public on April 30, with limited capacity.

Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, the Disneyland Resort will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that requires all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for guests ages 3 and up. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability and, until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks in line with current state guidelines.

CDC says that Americans who have been FULLY (2 doses) VACCINATED from Covid-19 within the PAST 3 MONTHS will NOT need to Quarantine upon returning to US
HOWEVER, each state/county may still have their own health restrictions to follow.

This does NOT EXEMPT vaccinated travelers from rules that REQUIRE TESTING PRIOR to taking a flight and other health protocols like social distancing and mask-wearing.

Fully vaccinated Americans do not need to quarantine if they are exposed to someone with COVID-19, according to new guidance from the CDC. Travel quarantine rules still apply regardless of whether a traveler has been vaccinated or not.
