We started on the foundation Dec 30th of 2021, began framing February 2022 and by August that same year… the cabin was done. We actually stayed in the Tall Stüga while finishing up the furnishings, decks & final touches and was able to open our books in September of 2022!

WOW! Crazy to think we’re coming up on a year of being in business thanks to you all. 🥲

This back deck / hot tub / fire-pit area was the last project we did before opening last year!

Really wished I would’ve filmed us getting this hot tub off the truck just the two of us😅 It was quite comical as you could imagine haha.

I’d say this is probably the most utilized space for our guest. We really tried to create a cozy lil relaxing outdoor area featuring a Traeger grill smoker, fire-pit, and of course the star of the show… the hot tub.

I invite you to come stay & escape the busyness of life for a bit. 😌✨🪵🔥🌲🌙

Shockingly, for us, tile work was one of the more difficult things we did while building the cabin. It’s something we will probably hire out for the next one. It is definitely DIY-able but extremely challenging especially with this being our first time. Of course we did have two wild toddlers to chase around during this whole process🤪

Love the final look though — worth the work✨

Kitchen now vs. → halfway done

Very pleased with how this space turned out! The cabinets & countertop add such good contrast, not to mention the handy full-size stainless sink. Small spaces seem not so small with high ceilings, intentional design and minimal decor.

Ps. Sanding those gorgeous beams overhead was my least favorite DIY in the whole house🙈 This was one of those moments we learned “what not to do” on our next project… Always cover your exposed beams PRIOR to painting the entire house. ALWAYS. Don’t be like us. 😂
