Tiny houses can be used pretty much anywhere in Los Angeles during the long recovery and reconstruction process, and in most cases, can remain on location and be utilized as ADUs, guest houses, or rentals. We’ve already had a project covered by insurance, instead of putting displaced families and individuals in rentals or hotels it was a great alternative that let them stay on site and get an awesome guest/rental home when finished. Give us a call if you’re interested in starting a tiny home project now so it will be ready to go as soon as they let people begin rebuilding. We are getting a ton of questions from Angelenos asking how tiny houses work for placement/use during and after the rebuilding process. We are here for you LA! As temporary housing that can transition into guest house ADU or rentals tiny houses are excellent options for temporary or permanent housing in most areas, and some insurance agencies might be able to cover some or all of a tiny house cost in lieu of other rental or hotel options. We encourage everyone to visit and join THIA (Tiny House Industry Association) for the most thorough coverage of ordinances, executive orders and rules regarding tiny houses and LA. Feel free to ask questions in the comments or contact us, and we will help however we can.

We are seeing a lot of demand and getting lots and lots of calls for temporary housing in the LA area. Our hearts go out to all those affected and are trying to prioritize availability to victims and any affected individuals or families. As of today, we still have a few tiny homes in-stock and are ramping up built-to-order production for any customized models like the Vesta series, or this Studio40, a bright, open floor plan tiny home that can be utilized for temporary housing and in most areas in and around LA, be later used as a guest home or rental ADU.

Studio 40, this 4ft x 10ft tiny home is ready for delivery. This and other built-to-order models are now only 6-14 weeks from order to completion. Fully custom homes have a little longer lead time, but we are accepting a few more for the first quarter.

Tandem bikes, binary stars, double rainbows, and those classic two-stick popsicles (do they have an official name?) all come to mind as I share our first custom build of the new year!

Two tiny houses combining into one is already incredible—but add a third element: a covered deck featuring solar-powered hookups for each house—and now we’re in Dwight Schrute mega-desk territory.

One 10x40 chassis houses the kitchen, dining, and living spaces (plus a bathroom and pantry), while the other 10x40 is dedicated to a master bedroom, kids’ bedroom, second bathroom, and laundry.

Construction is underway at the shop for this amazing double-trailer tiny house, and we’ll be sharing updates and pictures as the build progresses!

Configuration, storage, cooking area, and floor space are all factors in designing and planning to align with intended length-of-stay for a tiny house. This is more of a shorter-stay tiny home (think: guest houses, rentals, hotel room, vacation home, airbnb, etc vs. full-time living). Shelves are open for easy inventory/navigation, storage for clothes and food is a little less, but bathroom size remains large enough for changing or privacy with multiple guests. Here are some interior pics of the Gallery20 ( the post a couple days ago). At only 20’ x 8.5’ it packs a lot of charm into a small footprint, perfect for a coastal or lakeside retreat. I should also mention, we have 1 of these left, in-stock as of this post. Contact through the website or phone to reserve.
