The Town of Frisco invites the whole community to the Marina lot at the corner of Summit Boulevard/Highway 9 and Marina Road at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, to enjoy Frisco’s annual Spontaneous Combustion community bonfire and fireworks.

Frisco’s Spontaneous Combustion bonfire is fueled by gently used Christmas trees, about 300 of them, and the Town is accepting decommissioned Christmas trees to fuel the bonfire through Saturday, February 8, until 4:00 pm. 🎄

The Frisco Nordic Center and Team Summit Colorado will be hosting the second race in the free 5km cross-country ski race series that is open to all ages and abilities. On Wednesday, January 8 racers will compete in the Classic Ski race. To register, visit the Frisco Nordic Center lodge starting at 5:00pm on January 8, with the race commencing at 5:30pm. All racers are encouraged to bring a headlamp.

The Frisco Nordic Center and the Town of Frisco will be hosting the Frisco Gold Rush Nordic races on February 8, 2025 starting at 10:00 am. On its 54th year, the Gold Rush has the distinction of being the longest running Nordic event in Colorado and celebrates Frisco’s historical mining heritage while embracing the ski culture that defines the Frisco community today. The event consists of classic and skate races open to skiers of all ages and abilities, including a 23k skate ski race, 10k skate ski or classic races, 5k skate ski race, and 1k kids’ fun ski on Frisco’s Nordic trails.

Now through February 8, 2025 at 4:00pm, the Town of Frisco is accepting Christmas trees to fuel the Spontaneous Combustion bonfire. The drop-off location is at the Frisco Bay Marina dirt lot at the corner of Summit Boulevard/Highway 9 and Marina Road and will be open 24 hours a day.

🌲 Only real trees will be accepted: no other materials, including building supplies and packaging, will be accepted.
🌲 Trees must be stripped of all lights, tinsel, garland, tree stands and decorations prior to drop-off.
