Matt Devitt has always been our go to for all things weather. This post is great news for us in terms of seeing manatees. The colder the gulf temps the more manatees we see on our tours.

This sounds counter intuitive, but our Manatees and Mangroves tour is a warm water haven for manatees during the colder months.

WINTER IS COMING! 🥶 Get ready Florida for a stronger front to arrive and bring in colder temps with 30s and 40s for most of the state next week. Even a few 20s possible in the Panhandle. Brrr!

Thank you to all of you who have reached out! All of our guides have evacuated and it seems they will all be safe. At the moment we are unsure how our community in East Naples and The Port of the Islands will fair once this is all said and done, but the track does seem to be in our favor heading north. As long as Milton continues on its path north towards Tampa we believe we will be relatively safe in terms of destruction. Since we are on the southern side of the hurricane we can expect to see storm surge but luckily most of our operations and housing are surrounded by extensive protected Mangrove forests. Our location specifically at the Port of the Islands has close to 5 miles of Mangrove forest between us and the Gulf of Mexico. Our mangroves have been protected from development over the years and they seem to return the favor by protecting us from Irma, Ian and fingers crossed Milton! We will keep everyone updated as soon as we get new information.
