Today kicks off the International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge! It was always one of my favorite events to go to while living in the mountains. So fun to see the creativity and teams from all over the world!

The TSA announced today you’ll now need a driver’s license/ID card with the Real ID accreditation to pass through airport security.

You know if yours is correct if it has the star or star cutout. 🤩

They’ve been talking about implementing this for years… this seems to be the new rollout date, but will keep you posted.

Make sure you comply for your upcoming domestic trips in 2025! ✈️

My #1 travel tip to beat jet lag. 🤗

No matter what time you arrive in your new destination - don’t take a nap! I know it’s so tempting - but just don’t do it. 🥱

Grab a coffee or your caffeine of choice, get some sunshine, and set your mind and schedule to your new time zone.

St. Vrain State Park is just outside Longmont, Colorado. Nice trails to get our steps in, numerous small lakes, lots of birds, and some epic views of the Rocky Mountains! 🏔️

Ready to escape the cold?

It’s been over a year since the devastating fire in Lahaina - and Maui is now welcoming tourists back to all the other areas on the island not affected.

My husband and I shot some parts of this video in Lahaina, a few years before the fire - and we’re thinking of the locals during the recovery. I was saddened to learn the Plantation Inn was destroyed by the fire - we stayed our last 2 nights on Maui at this historic hotel. 😢

A highlight of one of my upcoming client cruises over the holidays. A multigenerational family group will be departing Miami on the Norwegian Bliss for a 7 night cruise over New Year’s to the Western Caribbean. 🛳️

Port stops:
Belize Honduras Cozumel Costa Maya 🌴

They’ll be enjoying the extra included perks during their stay in The Haven - their own private area on the ship. 24 hour butler, concierge service, priority tenders, private deck space… 🤗

📸 Cozumel is such a fun place to visit! This is a pic from my most recent trip there a few years ago, also during a cruise port stop. ⚓️

Don’t be surprised when traveling in Europe with their “pay to pee” system. 😉 The majority of public restrooms and gas stations aren’t free to use their facilities.

A few tips:
-Europeans don’t use the terms restroom or bathroom it’s toilet or WC.
-Take advantage of cafe toilets when you stop for a drink or a meal.
-Carry a few 1 and 2 euro coins, as not all have card capability like this one in the photo.
-Watch for the golden arches - I’ve found most McD’s don’t charge (but have come upon some city center ones that do).

A little glimpse into my home office. One of my first jobs in travel I worked at a cruise agency and my boss let me have these old cruise line posters I found gathering dust in a closet.

They were rolled up with quite a few creases… the frame shop brought them back to life with some type of clear coating when they framed them (also makes them lightweight, with no glass). 🤗

They’ve made a few moves with me, but I’ve been enjoying them for over 25 years - and I still love the art deco style of them! 🛳️

Clients recently returned from celebrating a milestone anniversary in the Galápagos Islands! 🦭🌴

Have you ever used an audio guide on one of your road trips? I highly recommend checking out Shaka Guide! 🤗 My husband and I first used it in Maui on the Road to Hana and were so entertained with the tips and humor!

On our recent road trip to Wyoming we purchased the bundle for Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. We enjoyed it just as much as in Hawaii!
