No trip to Iceland🇮🇸 is complete without a visit to one of the geothermal baths. With my background in skincare and body treatments, the Sky Lagoon with its 7-step ritual treatment was calling my name! It was an incredible experience from start to finish.🩶

With its infinity-edge lagoon that overlooks the sea, complete with large waterfall, and optional 7-Step Ritual Treatment (that really should not be missed!), the Sky Lagoon was the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon. The Sun🌥️ even came out out a few times in between some light snowfall, which just added to the beautiful surroundings. Cell phones are optional in the lagoon, but I really wanted to be present while in there, so I locked mine up and did not take photos. Curious travelers can check their website for photos - they are accurate! 😁

🗺️There is SO much more to explore in this beautiful country, and I’m looking forward to coming back again when there is more than 6 hours of daylight and the weather (while never truly predictable) is a bit more stable! Who wants to join me? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Friday was full of great information & making connections with local vendors at the Icelandair MidAtlantic Tradeshow (that we were selected to attend!). Saturday was for exploring the City Center & Old Harbor area!
⭐️The Lava Show was AMAZING. Splurge for the premium tickets, it’s totally worth it.
⭐️Aurora Reykjavik was a fantastic center for a walk through of why and how the Aurora happens, and they have several 360° Virtual Reality headsets so you can experience the event “in person” - very cool!
⭐️So many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, and quirky museums/art galleries to check out in the City Center! Very walkable with lots of spots to sit and people watch.

Could have gone without the surprise snow shower that blew in right as I was getting a taxi, but that’s Iceland Weather for you! 😉

When it’s 7° outside and snowing❄️ with 55mph winds, you take a moment to explore the beauty of your hotel! This is the Hotel Reykjavik Grand’s Atrium - with plenty of areas to relax or do some work near the unique water feature, grab a snack or cup of coffee☕️, listen to the howling winds🌬️, and admire the lazy but adorable Hotel Cat. 🐈

The hotel has spacious and very comfortable accommodations across 14 floors. They offer a plentiful breakfast buffet, a gorgeous and upscale restaurant (Grand Brasserie) open for Lunch, Happy Hour🍸, and Dinner. The Fitness Center has lots of options for those wanting to stay on top of their steps🏃 on days like today. And I can only imagine how incredible the Spa 🧖‍♀️ will be once the renovations are completed!
