Saco River Recreational Council A non profit organization whose mission is to protect, the upper Saco River through our cleanup, environmental education and law enforcement efforts.

The Saco River Recreational Council would like to assist you in planning a succesful trip along the Upper Saco, from Conway, NH to Hiram, Maine.

* PFD's or Life Vests required if floating down river on any vessel including blow up floats.
* Fire permits required for small campfires, free of charge at Swans Falls access.
*Always wash boats before moving them to protect our waters from invasive

*Buy firewood where you are camping. It is against the law to transport firewood. Please help us save our forests.

The S**o River Recreational Council would like to assist you in planning a successful trip along the Upper S**o, from Conway, NH to Hiram, Maine. We are a small nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of responsible outdoor recreational practices along the S**o River Recreational Corridor.

Answers to FAQs: * Wearable PFDs (life jackets) are required if floating or boating down river on any vessel. This includes tubes and blow-up floats. * Fire permits are required for all campfires, available free of charge at Swans Falls canoe access. *Always wash boats before launching them in a body of water to avoid spreading invasive species. *Buy firewood where you are camping.
